Product and delivery as specified. Same OEM Ignitor failed previously after only 3 weeks, from a local Trane distributor, cracked silicon nitiride. Hopefully, get longer life with this one from Amazon. I highly recommend keeping a spare available at home, bought such spare here. Easy installation if you have good access to burner.

The above picture shows the part, and what the failed part looks like. Note the white area on the black rod like part.We have a Trane XR15 Mode No. 4TTR5049E1000BB gas forced air heating system, which was installed in 2012. A few years later the "hot surface ignitor" failed, leaving us with no heat. (FYI: Error Code 10 on the Trane Thermostat). It was changed and all was good. On Dec, 23, 2018, it failed again, leaving us with no heat. Called out to our repair company, A. J. Perri, who did send a tech out that evening to repair it. It took all of 10 minutes, but he charged me $471.00 for the "cost" of the part!! This is a repair I could have done; if I had the part. It is literally one screw that has to be removed! I didn't like being cheated, so decided to buy and keep a spare.I guess that this part is now a "consumable", and will have to replaced every few years. Non original parts list for about $30.00, and this OEM Trane part cost about $60.00. The box I received does say OEM Trane, and says "Made in Japan". So I bought this part, and have it sitting next to my furnace, ready for the next time. Maybe this will last longer. Will see after I have to install it. If it doesn't last any longer, I will buy the generic one next time. The part was delivered promptly, and well packaged. The price was reasonable, for an OEM part. I will not be getting cheated by A. J. Perri again!

Thanks to this little gem, i can spend 15 minutes to replace the old worn ignitor and save myself a $150 service call from a local HVAC service provider. Super easy install on my Trane XC95. Highly recommend this part!!!

I purchased this igniter for my Trane heater on 10/12/24. It was delivered and installed a few days later which seemed to work fine until 12/18/24 when the igniter stopped lighting. I found it to have a chunk of it missing which wasn’t like that when it was installed. Not a happy consumer!

My ignitor failed last month and I purchased a replacement on Repairclinic.com for $120 including expedited shipping (3 days). Unfortunately, the part failed in 5 weeks and repariclinic is sending a free replacement (they are great to do business with) - however, it will take 4 days to arrive. Since I wanted the replacement ASAP I found this part on Amazon. Note that it is the exact same part as I purchased on Repairclinic, for nearly half the price. Same box, same instruction sheet, same packaging, etc. So - while I am not happy with the overall quality of the part since it failed in 5 weeks, I am happy that Amazon had it for much less and was able to deliver it the next day. It worked fine and I now have heat with a back-up ignitor coming in a few days from repairclinic.com.

Easy fix. Works every time cost a lot less than the local vendors was easy to install.

Plug and play for my Trane XR80. Had a couple failures to ignite so I replaced this and the flame sensor rod. solved all my problems for under $100. Simple install just unplug and unscrew the old one and put this one in. Took me longer to find my dang screwdriver than it did to actually install.

After a service technician came to check out my furnace as part of an 'annual maintenance' check I got roped into, he told me that my igniter was likely to fail in the near future. He said he could tell by the way it was starting to become discolored or something. He then quoted me like $300 to fix it. I thanked him for his services and as soon as he left I went on Google to learn more. I quickly learned that this igniter can be purchased for $10-20 bucks and is attached with one screw. So far, this part has not been used. I'm waiting for my old igniter to 'fail' before I install this one. Of course, the technician could have been lying altogether and the original igniter isn't close to failing but at least I have the part now in case it does. For the price, it's worth having a spare if my furnace stops working in the middle of winter.
