I used it in my 4l80e transmission.

Pretty straight forward with a little homework to see how its done if you're not confident in transmission building. Parts are high quality, packaging is clean. Shipment was really quick! Though this was gonna take longer than a valve I ordered later to come in.

Can't go wrong with this kit. Read the instructions and follow them closely. There are a few things you need to drill. The size of the hole makes a big difference and they only give you the medium size drill bit. You will have to get the other suggested sizes for the other options but for a work truck the provided bits are fine.

I orders this a few months ago and never opened it til this weekend when I was going to install it. The separator plate was jamed into the one gasket and rip it so now I need to find another gasket

Little strange it came in a generic box but it was complete. Had to send one back do to the packaging. The corner of the plate came out of the box and it got bent in shipping. Amazon was quick to replace so all was good. All authentic parts.

2003 Silverado 2500hd 6.0 4l80e4x4 with 145k miles. I installed this kit and instructions were very straight forward. I only did the valve body part and 1-2 accumulator spring. After install, I had a very harsh 1-2 shift. I took the valve body back out to put the springs in for smooth shifting. Still didn’t fix harsh 1-2 shift. Did some research and found that a bad oil pressure sensor will tell the computer to raise transmission line pressure causing harsh shifts. A bad sensor will normally show 80lbs pressure on gauge cluster which mine was. So I installed a new sensor and disconnected battery for 24 hours with connectors clamped together, so the computers and pcms and stuff would reset and relearn. Got everything back together and that smoothed things out. It’s a totally different truck after install. It shifts fast and goes into o/d very easy, and will give you loads of power when you ask for it.

I've bought three of these. I never use the pressure relief valve but the shift kit is great. I never have issues with anything out of them.
