I bought this for my new walking pad. My house is carpeted, so the mat will prevent the buildup of dust and other material on the carpet from affecting the walking pad. It seems sturdy enough and made of good material. I am waiting for a 3-foot extension cord before I can start using the walking pad. If there are any changes in the effectiveness of the mat afterward, I will update this review.

There was a very strong odor when I opened the box. I spread it out on my bathroom floor, wiped it down and left my windows open for several days. The day after I received the mat, I woke with my eye so irritated that it looked like I had conjunctivitis. My throat hurts and I had a headache. My eye cleared up after a couple days. When I left my house for the day, I was fine. When I came home, my throat would hurt and headache returned. I threw the mat out and have been fine since. Please don't purchase this product. I would have given it zero stars if I could.

Good quality. Feels substantial. Works perfectly under my treadmill to add a bit of cushioning. It sits on carpet and should prevent any carpet fibers from getting into the treadmill belt.
