Installation:
●The two wires (Green and Black) go to the switch that controls In and Out on a winch.
About Solenoid:
●Solenoids are electromagnetic switches.
●The winch solenoid is used to activate the winch motor on a vehicle-mounted winch.
●It is designed to supply the required current without damaging the winch motor or the winch switch.
●It is activated when current from the battery is directed to the solenoid by pressing the switch of activation.
●The activation of the winch solenoid sends current to the motor.
●Then the winch motor begins to run the winch drum.
●The typical winch uses separate winch solenoids for reverse and forward.
●Best quality winches use four winch solenoids.
●It functions as reversing the polarity on the winch-motor as a function of the control-switch position.

- It is designed to handle intermittent current loads of 250 amps for up to 10 seconds

Direct plug and play solution to a non-repairable warn winch solenoid. Wire colors for the control switch were wrong vs warn but they were keyed correctly and everything works in correct directions. All the posts are color coded AND labeled for the high amp wires. All I had to do was drill out the mounting holes on the body to ¼" for my standard bolts. I'm sure m6 bolts drop right in though. As a bonus it appears the high amp posts are copper and nuts and washers are stainless, just like the original warn part. Only real difference is this solenoid has a plastic body vs metal. Works great, would buy again.

I use my Honda Rubicon ATV to plow my large driveway, which is not much fun when the winch to control the blade does not consistently release or retract the cable. I ordered the solenoid relay and it arrived within 3 days to Alaska. After a quick swap out, my Warn winch is working wonderfully.

My Warn Solenoid went out on my ATV. I read the reviews for this product and they looked good. This Solenoid is just as heavy duty as the Warn, has the exact same bolt pattern and what's even nicer is that it doesn't have several unused posts that make you wonder why they are there! The reinstall into my ATV was a breeze and my plow blade comes up and down exactly as it should.

home made dump trailer with winch,, the HF relay died or the junky wiring in the remote kit etc, went out, bought this and with a battery charger, figured out what to do, no directions,, basically it gets ground from the ground post, then you put 12 volts into one wire and it switches one way, then 12volts on the other wire made the winch go the other, worked fine when I got that handled

I got this to control a Polaris OEM "Warn" winch on my 2008 RZR. My previous contactor was not engaging consistently. This one works great and was a direct bolt-on replacement .
