Works flawlessly for almost any modern trolling motor. It can be easily removed for safety or locked so nobody can steal the trolling motor! Definitely worth the money!

I just picked up a PowerDrive V2trolling motor for my boat and wanted to make it removable during storage. This mount was easy to install. However I did have to make a few trial and error test fits first to find the best way to mount it for my needs. After following the directions that were included I thought I had it figured out easily. But I made 1 flaw that I overlooked. With my trolling motor I needed to use the smaller end of the top mount towards the outside so my motor would extend fully. A few minor adjustments to another set of bolt holes and it iw working as it should.

So I need a strong quick release mount and I looked around at what was out there. I'm using it to attach some cases to the back of a boat. I'd like the cases to sit securely and because it is on the water I need it to not rust. They make some quick release mounts for motorcycle luggage that I tried in the past but they rusted pretty quickly in the marine environment. I'm ordered this mount and it seems like a great solution. All of the fasteners are stainless and the mounts are made from solid plastic, so I'm pretty cool with it. The other advantage over the motorcycle quick release stuff was that when the cases aren't in place, this piece is low profile and won't rub you the wrong way. I'm very happy to have found it.
