I've never been a truck guy, but recently bought an F-150 as my daily driver. At times, it's a challenge to get things out of the truck bed, so I'll grab a broom or some other stick to pull things out. This product has come in clutch for me! From reaching boxes and random items that I travel with in the truck, it helps me reach them with ease. I think these types of items should come as a stock item with a pickup truck as they are quite useful!

I'm a handyman working out of a 6.5ft pickup bed with tool boxes across the front and along both sides, and a plywood cover between them to keep the rest of the bed dry. My homemade solution was a leftover piece of 1" wide scrap decking board about 4' long with a screw on the end. Wasn't pretty, but functioned ok for a time. I kept losing its in the other scraps in the bed. This grabber is the deluxe, extendable version of my first fix. No more climbing in the bed to reach what I need. It fits nicely tucked under the side tool box and stays put because of the large hook on the end. So it's ready to help when I need it. I'm a happier handyman not having to crawl into my truck bed needlessly.

You'll need another stick to get this stock bc this stick flies to the front of the bed

Dunno, it's decent-not heavy duty. I have a marine boat hook currently in the back of my truck. It has a small hook on the end for rope, and I use it to grab stuff in the bed of my truck. This thing has a longer "hook" on the end, which is at a right angle, with a small turned back barb on the end of the hook. As a light duty hook, it's fine. Not sure about heavy duty, because it's in 4 pieces, and the hook screws into a tip that is plastic. It's not bad, but I don't think it'll replace the boat hook in my truck. I do like the hook on this one better, but I'd rather have the one piece aluminum handle vs the 4 piece/4 plastic ended handle on this one. It has it's place, I'm sure it would be fine for general use, but I pull 15-20 lbs. buckets around, and I just don't see this one or the friction tensioner on the end pole staying put very long.

I took this tool on a recent ten day RV trip and found it helpful to drag items out from under the crossbed toolbox of my pickup. It saved me from having to climb up into the bed of the truck to reach stuff, which is exactly the reason I needed it. It slides down short enough to fit under the backseat storage area and would easily fit in the toolbox if I didn't have so much in there already. It came with two hook options for different needs and in my opinion the product description and photos accurately describes the tool that I received and I'm sure happy to have it. Thanks and good luck!

This cargo grabber is sturdy. It comes with good instructions and is easy to assemble. It is also adjustable.I am just under five feet tall and at a disadvantage when it comes to reaching things on high shelves or at great distances on low levels, like the back of the car trunk. For me, this tool is good for moving LIGHT UNBREAKABLE ITEMS forward or knocking them off a shelf. I wouldn't use it on anything heavy and run the risk of hitting myself on the head.

Once this is together, it is fairly sturdy and does what it is supposed to do. It's telescoping with a flip of a lever and will fit under the back seat of my truck. I use the flat hook, but it comes with 2 different ends that can be used. It is plenty long and does allow you to reach items against the cab of your truck. I wouldn't use it for very heavy items, but for the average person's use, it works.

When fully extended, will flex and almost break if you try to retrieve anything of weight or size.
