These work really great.Follow the super simple tutorial at adafruit site to set one up and test it at://learn.adafruit.com/ir-sensor/testing-an-ir-sensorYou'll have it working in 5 minutes. Then just aim a IR remote at it and the LED will light up.I'm very glad I found these and got them. I have a number of projects I'll be adding them too.Also great for examining Remote codes that are sent via IR : more about that at adafruit also.
