It's only been 4 days since I received and installed two out of four of the bulbs, so take this review with a grain of salt, still too soon to officially be 5 stars, but if they hold up for a few months and for this price and for the quantity you receive, this might end up becoming the best product I've picked up so far for my turtles. For some reason, both of my turtles basking bulbs went out around the same time, so they both needed replacing and within seconds of installing this product my turtle children hopped out to bask and bath in the warmth the bulbs were outputting.

I bought these because they matched the heat lamp bulbs that we acquired from a family member. Luckily, these bulbs fit perfectly in the lamp and while they do get warm, they don't get overly hot. Just like any typical light bulb, it was just twist in and done. While our lamp does have an adjustment on this, even on the low setting, it does give off a good amount of heat, not too hot. We did test this on the higher setting to see what the temperature will be and from the thermostat on our tank, it reaches about 77-79 degrees, which is perfect for our tortoise. Even on the day that it finally got cold, we did put this on the low setting and our tortoise was still walking around comfortably and not trying to run away from the lamp. They even fell asleep under it so they definitely like it.
