Got to say, I'm impress. I use A&B Omron, and the big prices stuff on the machine I design. For my 3D printer chamber temperature control, I did give a shot to this in-expensive guy. It work above my expectation (well I didn't expect-it to work LOL).Plus:To start, the SSR was install on the heat-sink with screw and conductive paste, didn't expect that. The contact screw and washer are an adequate quality so is the material used. Look's fine.It work as set-up and hold the temperatures in the set temperature in the parameters.Display nice and bright.Easy to set... ButHere the Con;The instructions are not clear and accurate. Too small of a print and it's for 4 model of control.A couple of the parameters name was inaccurate "SSL (LSPL in the book) and SSH (USPL in the book)"The worst is where to connect the Alarm and the thermocouple. On Amazon diagram is correct but the number are reverse in the book; MV100 alarm "AL1" is 4/5 and probe "TC" 1/2. The thermocouple red (+) goes to 5, blue to 4. Alarm contact 1 and 2.Well, it's easy to figure but remind you, you got the in-expensive stuff and here a little price to pay (time wasted)And there a code HH that is not describe anywhere... it's the TC that is not connected or at the wroung place...At the end, I'm happy with it, let see if it last

Controller worked great. Word of caution though, don't follow the wiring diagram on the included instruction sheet, it will render your device useless! Follow the diagram on the sticker on the unit. Voice of experience speaking.

Works perfectly. Good instructions for connecting wiring. My system is not so easy to control. Works out of the box with no tuning.

UPDATE 2024: The MV104 model is the one being shipped, and it is Type K thermocouple only. However, it performs very well, and the cold junction compensation circuit is better than in the previous model. Awesome device.2020 review: This controller can be used with PT100 RTD probes or various thermocouple types - the input setting on the menu can be set as needed. It comes with type K thermocouple selected, but this can be changed as needed. I use PT100 probes for reptile heating applications because they are much more stable and accurate at the 80-90 deg F range compared to a type K thermocouple. Anyway, I have 4 of these Twidec controllers, and they work great.

Like its operation. But, control accuracy is way off. Set Menu 1, SC for correct indication at 200 degrees. Confirmed by IR reader & separate digital thermometer. Then set 300 degrees, measured 349! Then tried set 400 degrees, measured 496! Not good enough! Convection oven, after 1 hour+ at temperature. Separate sensor placed in aluminum block.

The printed schematic provide with the package is NOT for this controller. Youi must follow the diagram on the side of the unit when wiring or it will not function. Unit itself functions well when wired properly, but do NOT use the printed instructions. They will not work

I spent hundred of dollars on two controllers that work well from an American company that probably out sources manufacturing to China. When I needed two more controllers, I decided to look to Amazon. I have two of these each driving two 700 watt cartridge heaters in two 2X12X12 aluminum platens in my heating press. Their PID works great. I placed each relay on the inside front of the boxes of aluminum for cooling. I remove the cooling fins that came with the relays. The front of the box hardly gets warm. That is 1400 watts for each relay. Great product. Will buy here if needed again.

I’ve purchased a total of 3 of these now. Had my first SSR failure though. A little disappointed how quickly it failed, probably less than 200 hours use. Potentially my fault though, maybe I had it too close to a heat source( under an incubator with rest of controls) going to try remote mounting it in hopes to increase lifespan. Overall this pid has been east to use and setup. Would buy again, but may consider a different ssr to go with it if the next ones don’t last longer. Fairly accurate out of the box.

Works excellent for controlling my paint curing oven. Took a bit of playing around to get the SSR to trigger. I followed the wiring instructions but I couldn't get it to trigger the relay. I applied 12V DC from a DC power supply to test it, triggered the relay just fine. After that, it worked just fine with the PID controller. I think maybe the relay was just stuck and PID controller wasn't putting out enough power to unstick it.

too late to return, unit has been assembled into a 3D printed enclosure. 12 hour for nothingambient temperature reads wildly my room is not -5c once you give it a little warmth the thermal reading starts to climb rapidly. using my own body I measured the temp reading... I am not 120c.
