I had an older much more expensive card reader that was giving me problems. Was slow and if I touched the computer, it would usually error out. The UGREEN SD Card Reader is real sturdy and surprisingly fast for downloading my photos. Highly recommend

Started doing more things with very large files and memory cards, but I only had a usb2 reader so things were taking very long.This was cheap and I got it fast. Much faster transfer speeds and all of my cards are running at their rated maximums. Easy to use.

I got my husband a laptop for Christmas and, to our shock, it doesn't have a built in card reader. I picked this one up for him to use because he is transferring his photos from the old laptop to the new one and has lots of cards with pics on them that he wants all in one place. He used this card reader for several hours the day he got it and it worked fine. He said it feels a little cheap and not super sturdy but it didn't get too hot and it worked as it should.He has since used it five or six times more with no issues. I did warn him about the reviews here saying the reader melted cards and he is going to pay attention to how hot it gets. But so far, it hasn't even really gotten warm. I will update if something happens or if my husband says the reader is getting too warm. I may get him a better one soon because he will be using a card reader a lot and I want to be sure it is up to the task. But this one does suffice and does the job it was intended to do quite efficiently for being so inexpensive.

I take a lot of images, especially while travelling. When it came to downloading the lot to my desktop, I've had the camera's batteries die twice. Whenever that happens, my camera and my computer get confused as to what's been transferred. This card reader eliminated that problem.This reader is fast! It's reliable. I just wish I'd bought one years ago.

Initial testing/enjoying. Definitely seems to handle both cards loaded simultaneously. 3.0 speeds, and compared to prior hopes. Well there's always a better idea/thought tomorrow for any good implementation.. 🤘🤷

Easy to use, unsure about the transfer speed. Works as intended but a little confusing, could be the as card I’m using. Plugs in.

I have been using UGREEN products for many years. I have never once had an item of theirs go bad. The build quality to price point is always right up there with the competition. The customer service, backed by Amazon is no quibble and no hassle.This card reader is no exception. Very easy to use, plug and play. A good fit for the cards. I use this for my 4K video and photos I shoot on my Lumix G7, and 128GB SD cards. It never skips a beat.Every now and then you are going to get a bad unit. Out of the 10s of 1000s of products they make its inevitable. As for sending the items back, lets just say you don't even need to leave your house to get a refund on anything they sell.
