Ordered this, even after I read the ball would not support the weight of a camera. My purpose for this was, to mount my phone for recording and the shoe mount on the side was a bonus for my Rode mic. Yes, the Rode mic works on my Samsung, but you need the adaptor. Anyway, the ball is solid and is absolutely perfect for what I need and I don't plan on testing it with my photography equipment; I have other gear specifically for that gear. The swivel movement is smooth too. Great product, if your needs are similar to mine.

I love this claw system (GoPro attachment plate not included with the item, its sold separately on the Ulanzi Website). This item comes with the ball head, mount and plate for your camera giving you an ultra low profile quick release system. I originally got it for my my GoPro to mount on my RAM rail system for my jeep. I was so impressed by the quality and professional packaging I looked into what else it could offer. Then I came across this ball head with the built in claw base. I knew it would be great for my monopod, when I'm not using my video head. The Ulanzi Ball Head paired with a monopod containing mini legs such as my Manfrotto XPRO, is literally the PERFECT system for the GoPro (for me at least). For high shots, static shots, dolly -in shots, overkill selfie stick shots, sweeping inverted shots inches from the floor, this ball head helps me achieve this quickly and efficiently. And I have no doubts it can handle my Canon R6 with the same setup. As a matter of fact I have a claw plat living on both my mirrorless camera and my GoPro. The quality of this product is high grade, and I'm confident it will last last me a very long time. Great value for what you get with this. Highly recommend this system for those on the fence about purchasing.

Very happy with this after one little thing to learn, use the Allen wrench to tighten. The first time I used it I just hand tightened onto my monopod, and it got loose pretty quickly. Once I tighten with and Allen wrench it has worked really well. Love the convienance of the push button release, but the safety of the sliding lock.

Load bearing capacity 20kg is a joke.I tried it on monopod with my nikon d500 with 200-500lens and it sucks. Good for camera with less weighing lens, Build quality is really good.
