This may be unbreakable but I haven't tried to break it. The glass and feels like it would break easily, if you tried to. Works great for making coffee though. I like the spout. Makes it easy to pour coffee into my coffee cup. Sometimes I pour it into my coffee mug. It works well for either. I typically add creamer to my coffee after I pour it into my coffee cup and/or mug. Then I drink the coffee. It usually tastes good, unless I use a flavored coffee I don't like the taste of. After I'm done drinking the coffee out of my coffee cup or mug. I clean my coffee cup or mug. Then I clean the unbreakable pour over coffee maker. That is some what cumbersome if you don't have a brush that can reach the bottom of the pour over coffee maker. I don't really drink a lot of coffee though.

The carafe looks great and functions well. Easy to use and clean. Make great tasting coffee, too!

I bought the 27oz carafe with spout. This item is exactly as described, but you must read carefully! The company's name is "Unbreakable" but borosilicate glass is definitely breakable. They say the carafe holds 8 cups (but note that these are 4oz cups).The filter is actually pretty good for a permanent filter. If I really want no fines, I put a paper filter inside the permanent filter. So far, no issues after about a week.Overall, it is fragile (yes) and quite pretty. I'm happy with the purchase and hope that I can avoid being clumsy. There is a 10 year warranty advertised--hopefully, I won't need to try to use it.

I bought the spout type in September 2023. At that time it was listed as 34 ounce. I found that 27 ounces would be a more honest description (see my first review below) . And behold, the seller actually changed the description to 27 ounces! So happy to report that the seller paid attention. It helps a lot when your buyers are not disappointed and get what you describe.Having said that, I have not raised the stars to 5 because I just broke it. The spout broke when it tipped in the sink. These are made of glass, and no matter how strong the glass, they are not "unbreakable" especially when the spout protrudes out. But, I have very much enjoyed using this maker and it is a terrific value. It is also packaged beautifully so it makes a great gift. I have re-ordered the model without the spout. I don't that it was available back in September. I like w/o spout better. Takes up less space and easier to store and also less apt to break!*******************This is an early review, prior to actually using it. This carafe is adorable. Having said that, I dropped a star from the start because the stated 34 oz is deceptive. I got this one to replace a 6 cup Chemex which is described as a 30 ounce decanter. The Chemex bowl is much bigger than this one and yet the "unbreakable" manufacturer says it holds 34 ounces. The difference is that the Chemex 6 cup holds 30 ounces in the bowl of the decanter. I filled up the "unbreakable" using an 8 ounce measuring cup. I managed to pour in 4 cups and 2 additional ounces however the liquid goes high up in the neck and also fills up the spout and literally spills out. A fair description of this is carafe would state 27 ounces, because that is what the bowl holds without flooding the entire carafe.

I got fed up with drip coffee makers and refused to head over to the Keurig world of wastefulness putting all that plastic in the earth just because I need one cup of coffee...I digress.This little thing is amazing! The flavor of coffee and temp is SO much better than I expected and than any drip or perk I have used. I'm too lazy to bother with grinding the beans -- but still the end product is a much higher quality.For just myself I use 5 tbsp high quality roast coffee and keep my finger on the 2 cup mark as I pour just boiled (but not actively boiling) water from a kettle - a small amount at first to wet the grounds, wait about 10 seconds and then slowly the rest making sure to not overfill. The end product temp is 165 a perfect 'Starbucks or Dunk's' temperature --I never realized that coffee from my drip machines was not hot enough and now in hindsight somehow less fresh overall.The carafe neck is too small to reach your hand into but that's perfect for insulating as you make the coffee. Honestly if you just rinse it within an hour or so you don't have to do much else. It's glass - if it begins to build up you'll see it!Very simple process and a beautiful product. I'm extremely pleased. Well made glass looks pretty on counter, no ugly electrical wires or black appliances taking up space. Awesome fine grind straining basket I haven't had any issues with grounds in my coffee and stays in place on the top when I pour. Great product!!!

It worked great until it got knocked over on the counter; the top shattered. The glass is thinner as well, so my next purchase will be sturdier glass. I have 3 stars as it worked until to got knocked over.

I was looking for an alternative to a conventional coffee machine because the water going through the system of my machine was never really piping hot and I always ended up with lukewarm coffee. Now, the boiling water from the kettle goes straight into the filter and the result is perfect. About the 'Flavour' rating. This depends entirely on the type and amount of coffee and water you use. I got the ratio right and therefore the flavour gets 5 stars as well. I chose this particular coffee pot and filter because it not only looks beautiful, but it is also very easy to clean and doesn't need paper filters. Great stuff!
