Drilled (but not threaded) to accommodate screws up to 5mm in diameter. Center-to-center screw hole spacing on your telescope must be from 10.2 to 30.2mm in order for this dovetail base to be compatible.

The base is made of die-cast metal and features two large thumbscrew locks. The thumbscrew is equipped with knurled thread, which can be easily rotated even when wearing gloves.

If you need to attach something to your telescope tube that has a dovetail base this is a great mount. Just need to make sure the pitch of the threaded holes in your telescope is within range of the slots and that your dovetail width is suitable .The slots are in a cross pattern, but I don't know how or why you would mount it sideways. It comes installed with two thumb screws but also included are two small bolts with locknuts if you want to make sure your attached device is rock solid or isn't easily removed.The mount is very sturdy and nicely anodized.

This is a very good finder scope base. It will work with most standard Vixen style finder scopes. The fact that it has screw slots instead of screw holes, makes it very flexible as far as attaching it to your scope. It's made of aluminum and looks to be well machined. The finder mount slips right in and you're ready to go. I like that there are two locking thumb screws, and that they are large. It also comes with two mounting screws. Very good product.
