I've been wanting some sort of step up for my Ford F-150 for a while now. As I get older, its pretty hard to get up into the bed of the truck without a step ladder. I looked at what was available on Amazon & saw a pretty expensive fold down step on a friend's truck, but I cost a small fortune. Then recently a saw one guy who had a step up that was stuck into his trailer hitch. It looked like a great option for me. So I checked Amazon again, saw several affordable, options, but most did not appear too sturdy, many were made of plastic, and those that looked "strong" were too expensive for my taste. Then I saw this model with its curved pipe & longer/larger step made of metal. It had good strength parameters & even came with a red reflector which is mounted with hardware, not just stuck on. If I think this one should work nicely. I have a tow package, so I do have a good hitch, but I very seldom use my ball for hauling things, so having a step up that inserts into the hitch should work well for me.

I bought this to mount a magnetic backup camera to our travel trailer and it works perfectly. It is heavy duty and I like that it is rounded and includes a reflector. As a bonus, it can also be used as a step when we wash the trailer. I added a hitch lock so it can't be easily stolen.

I needed a drop down one, this is about the same height as the bumper so it’s totally unusable for me. I needed a drop down one. My fault for not understanding exactly what I needed.

Added this since I don’t have an auto lift gate so it’s a nice step to lay things or just put my foot on while I open the hatch.
