All metal construction and a cheap way to attach hot shoe flashes to any light stand. The price and quality of these simple little adaptors is definitely a win.

Simple product to put your flash on a tripod screw. Works like i expected. made of metal so id be amazed if it wasnt fully in tact and functional when archaeologists dig it up some day

This review is for the "Updated Anwenk Flash Cold Shoe Mount Adapter" (ASIN B07MZJRTH4 ) as purchased in April 2024.As other reviewers have noted, this doesn't fit Nikon Speedlites very well. On my Neewer NW760N flash the sync pins hit the sides of the channel that is in the bottom of the cold shoe and the only way you can even begin to get the NW760N to slide into the shoe is if you wiggle and force the flash into the shoe. This probably risks damaging the flash's contacts and to add injury to insult the locking mechanism on three of the four Speedlites that I tried either didn't engage at all or where so tight that you couldn't lock the flash in place.Only one of the four Speedlites that I have worked as should be expected. That was a very old Nikon SB600. My other Speedlites, a Nikon SB500 and two of the Neewer NW760N units, either didn't lock in place or were too tight to fit into the Anwenk cold shoe.Basically, for Nikon Speedlites they should have made the channel in the cold shoe both a little wider and deeper. So, not for all Nikon Speedlites (YMMV).

At first I was disappointed that the material was too thick for the slide lock on my Godox V1 to fully engage (it has a much tighter lock than my other flashes), but after some filing, it now fits great. Very impressed with the black coating, it took some real force from the file to get through it. The grooves are just right to keep the pressure off the flash contacts and the stop screw is perfectly placed. My only complaint is that no 1/4â€-20 screw hardware was included, but it’s not really an issue for me because I have loads of DIY camera junk laying around. I’ll likely be buying more of these little guys in the future.

Extremely well made/machined. One side has a set pin to prevent slippage. I can't find anything wrong with them. Highly recommend.
