If you are into astrophotography and don't have a spot to mount your ASI AIR, this little mount works great. I have the ASI AIR Mini and attach it to this NEEWER mount on the top of my Canon R6 where a flash would normally go. The mount is metal and good quality. A good thing to have in your kit just in case. I haven't tried using a tracking scope on it as I usually have that on my telescope, but I'm sure it is possible using this mount + camera + tracking scope + tracking camera since it's all about tracking the movement of the stars within the field of view.

I was looking for a way to mount a solar finder meant for a telescope on my Canon camera. I had been using gaffer's tape or velcro straps, but it was a hassle. This item does the job perfectly. Very well made, works great. I guess the drawback is you can't use a flash on the hot shoe while this is mounted, but it's not like I was going to use a flash to photograph the sun. :-D

If using a telescope you will want to use the finder base on the scope. Of course, telescope wide angle and telephoto lenses don't have one. This cold shoe finder mount is perfect for this type of photography. I use it with a Celestron finder, and it works great. Just be sure you tighten it down before alignment.

Didn’t fit what I had. Maybe I bought the wrong one? Seemed like it should fit thought
