Measuring Outdoor Stairs: A Step-by-Step Guide
1. Measure the Distance from the First Step to the Landing:
- Start from the first step of your outdoor stairs (or ground level) and use a measuring tape or ruler to determine the distance to the top of the stairs or the landing.

Would recommend this adjustable handrail. Utilized on an old 5 step refinished concrete setup with uneven rise / run steps. The 0-40 deg angle adjustment allowed us to install posts in plumb and all looked terrific. Material was well packaged with each individual piece bubble wrapped for protection and not a scratch observed on anything as a result. Hardware had some extra included; love a company that provides extra. Screws were phillips head, where would have preferred star bit, however screws held up well without stripping. Post's hold-down holes were purposefully oversize to accommodate some misalignment of the concrete expansion bolts; good design. Top handrail has nicely rounded edges and feels sturdy and solid. The overall assembly shakes a little, but I figure this is due to all the degrees of freedom in the adjustable nature of the rails and my installation with concrete wedge anchors and plastic wedges to get posts 2-direction plumb on my uneven steps. Small package of wedge gaskets would not fit into any gap when in the full 40 deg angle that we installed the steps. Only recommendation to company would be to supply post bottom caps that did not have bright white manufacturer's name; this detracts from the overall look and leaves me with another task to paint a matching black.

I bought this handrail for an irregular 2step stair arrangement on my porch. This handrail is adjustable and fit my needs nicely.This handrail was easy to assemble. Just remember to put the base cover plates on the vertical bars before you put the brackets for the horizontal bars on. An extra set of hands would be nice to mark the holes to drill. Drilling the holes in concrete was the hardest part, but that is no reflection on the rail itself. Great for assistance on the stairs and safety.

It’s a beautiful handrail however! It doesn’t state that it’s one rail!!! Seriously who buys 1 stair railing!!! I give it a 5-star but I give the description a 1-star
