Since I'm not a binder expert I don't know if it was the application I was using the binder for(strapping a very large tree together that is splitting) but the ratcheting action didn't work the way I thought it would. But I like that the handle folds away.

The selector switch is a bit of a pain to center in free wheel. I use them for tieing down the skid steer.

These binders are great. I have ordered 2 at first to see if they were what I wanted. I ordered 2 additional and am ordering 2 more. The ratchet handle folds down so it easily fits into the tool box of my trailers. The ratchet assembly works easy and is easy to reverse direction with gloves on. The chain hooks are heavy to fit 5/16†and 3/8†chain. They are quick to use while anchoring equipment and I am retrieving my old chain binders and use these in there place
