Your cart is empty.NSN: 8470-01-599-3851 Size: Fits Small through X-Large helmets Developed by Ops-Core, the ECH/ACH Improved Retention System (IRS) is a complete assembly in OCP Tan 499 to retrofit for ACH, ECH, MICH or Ops-Core helmets. This is standard equipment on the new Enhanced Combat Helmet that is replacing the current ACH, or a great upgrade to your current helmet. The system is adjustable for one-size-fits-all design. The straps are adjustable using ladderlock buckles that insure a snug fit to the chin and helmet. The attaching hardware (included) consists of four black ballistic steel screws and t-nuts that secure the IRS to the helmet. Unlike the old screws, these lock only require one-hand to tighten and won't backout. The IRS features a leather chin-cup and H-Nape pad for comfort. Nape pad provides optimal comfort for a snug and secure fit.

The Army cannot even get me the issued item in the correct color. I've searched far and wide, and the cheap ones don't even fit or they're drastically lopsided. Thus far, no one has created a chin strap that is easy to install with a helmet cover, which everyone but the snake eaters have to wear. This one is no different. That said, it's not lopsided, and I managed to install it even with a helmet cover. So I'm calling it a win.

A bit expensive for just a helmet strap but it's very comfortable once installed and it's US contractor made military surplus so better quality control than Chinese airsoft helmet straps. Provided hardware was not long enough to mount to a Longfri ballistic FAST helmet, had to use the original screws instead.

Very good quality for the price. Mounting hardware is beefy however it's too short to mount with the side rails on the helmet. fits my face well.

If you're looking for a replacement for the old ACH retention system this is a great option. It's very comfortable and easy to install. You can quickly adjust the straps with ease, no more taking the helmet on and off to get the perfect fit. Leather backing on the chinstrap makes it very pleasant to wear. I would definitely recommend the over other ach retention systems.

I bought this strap as a replacement for my 2007 MSA ACH strap, which was super old and was missing parts. Strap is nice and comfortable and easy to install. The only problem I had was removing the screws that were factory on my helmet. The steel was too soft, however the hardware this strap comes with is stronger and I didn't have any problems correcting it.ONE SIZE FITS ALL.

Overall satisfied. Pretty easy to screw in even with just a gerber. Fits well on a regular ACH or high speed helmet I’m assuming. Definitely more comfy with that leather or hide on the chin strap. Will get ugly and oily in the future I’m sure but for now it’s a solid buy.
