Easy Operation:
Step 1: Solder the IC socket to the PCB circuit board.
Step 2: Insert the chip into the IC socket, finish.
The IC socket is the carrier between the chip and the PCB circuit board, the chip can be pulled and inserted directly without soldering to the PCB board.
Noted:
The spacing and line spacing of the connector holes must be the same as the spacing and line spacing of the chip pins.
Advantage:
When you need to install or replace the chip, directly remove the connection between the IC socket and chip, achieving the effect of saving IC cost and time.

I've learned previously that you can't complain about packaging on items when writing a review, or your review won't be published. I'm guessing it's also not allowed to complain about handling during shipping. The tube was bent in half. The 16 sockets not around the bend are pristine, and look like perfectly usable DIP-28 .300 sockets. I have a bunch of 32kx8 SRAM's that will love to be in these things on my PCBs. Not a single bad thing to say about the sockets. Just wish I didn't have to fix the other 4 from where the soft envelope they were in were bent in half. If only there were hard cardboard tubes you could slide the less rigid plastic tubes into so that they wouldn't get bent in half. What do I know, though... I'm just an engineer, it's not like I ship things for a living...Also, Amazon says they were handed directly to a resident. FALSE. I was pulling out of the driveway as the Aamazon truck was pulling in. My packages were frisbee thrown onto the patio, because they weren't even close to each other.Reject this review, Amazon. I know you will. Because you just frisbee throw stuff onto people's porches. Is it cheap? Yes! Is it fast? Oh, yes! Did you handle it right? Eh, dunno about that...

4 of the 20 were unusable (pins had fallen out and will not stay put). 2 of the 20 had severely bent pins (thanks to manufacturers careless packing in the product box)Taking that all into consideration, along with glacial delivery time, next time I'm just getting them from Digikey.

Four of them had broken pins out of the box and many others bent pins that I had to straighten out
