If you’re looking for replacement rods for your IKEA ALEX, look no further. These work perfectly, I’m actually amazed I was able to get replacements so easily. I got the 5mm x 300mm rods and they fit exactly like the original ones.

Purchased the 5 pack because the price was much better than two. Used these rods to manufacture spare parts for my hobby & crafts. Extremely pleased with the quality, sturdiness and overall finish. Hard to beat these at this price point and shipping included with prime as well. Fantastic...

Bought these and some 608 bearings to use on them. The bearings are consistent on the ID but will not fit on these shafts. These rods are 8.02mm in some spots but they are nice and straight and the ends are not messed up like I was reading on some of the others listed for sale. Would recommend these if you do not need exact tolerances. So far, I have been pleased with the quality of all of the Uxcell products that I have purchased in the past and these are no exception as I was still able to do what I needed with them with some minor adjustments to the design to compensate for the slight inconsistencies.

They are metal rods. What more can I say? They arrived exactly as advertised. Good Value!

These rods are not individually milled - they are bluntly sheared off from one larger rod, and this is visible in the deformation of the cylinder closer to each end.If you are buying this product for a precise application, then the shearing deformation renders the whole thing worthless.

If you're buying smooth rod stock in this type of precut length, chances are you're using it for a relatively precise task. Possibly you're using it with a linear bearing as a guide rod. You probably bought it pre-cut so you didn't have to cut it to measure yourself.Should you expect reasonable precision, these rods may disappoint. They're not cut square, so the length is approximate. The ends have burrs. They'll require more processing before you use them. For less-precise uses, they're fine, but don't order them expecting a precise, ready-to-use part.I did use them with linear bearings as guide rods in a sliding assembly. They work, but they're a bit crunchy. The finish is okay, but not mirror smooth. You're getting what you pay for. That's not to say you shouldn't buy them. There's plenty of good uses for them. Just be sure yours is one of them.
