Information
Drilling diameter < 40mm, maximum speed: 2000rpm; Drilling diameter ≥ 40mm, maximum speed: 1200rpm. Used on desktop (fixed) equipment (bench drill, vertical drilling machine, CNC carving machine, etc.). Can NOT be used on handheld power tools (such as hand drill or electric drill).
The product is only suitable for processing wood or soft non-metallic materials. Can not drill metal and non-ferrous metal, otherwise the hole opener will be damaged quickly.
To avoid causing breakage, be sure no nails or other metal objects in wood before drilling. The cutting edge and tip of the opener should be sharpened in time.

Two Spurs and Center Spur

If you need a hole that exactly matches the OD of 1/2" black iron pipe, then this is the correct size.

I used this to drill new holes for bench dogs on my refurbished work bench. This drill bit dug right in and had the hole mostly drilled out in seconds! I only wish the shank was longer. Using my portable drill guide (Milescraft 1318 Drillmate Drill Guide from Amazon), the drill bit couldn't quite go all the through the 1 1/2 inch thick wood I used for the new bench top. I had to follow up with a hand drill to complete the work.Overall I'm very impressed with this drill bit.

Good 20mm Forstner bit. It drills a clean hole, but it's a bit oversize. The calipers says 20.16mm diameter.

Dollar for dollar a great buy. Having used many forstner bits, this little $8 bit does better than some of my bits costing 3-4 times as much. Performed consistently through several hundred holes in OSB on a mass production run Would buy again.

Needed a 20mm Forstner for Blum drawer front adjustment inserts in MDF. Bit worked great and was sharp. Will only be using bit for occasional use and for the price and quality it meets my expectations.

Although not recommended by seller, used in hand drill with alignment jig to drill out holes in MFT style table. Had no problems and bit performed really well with no wandering. Produced very crisp holes with no slop. Would purchase again.

I have tried this bit and it seems to cut well. does not cause "blow out" on the other side when drilling through MDF, MELAMINE or BIRCH PLYWOOD. I will definitely be buying other sizes!
