Replaced the valve seals in a 2006 Scion xB easily with this tool. Tool is made of hardened steel and gives easy leverage for compressing valve springs without a ton of effort (held the lever with one hand and no straining while I removed and installed valve keepers). Multiple air hose adapters for whatever fitting your shop uses, and a variety of heads to screw into an installation tool to press new stem seals by pushing on their metal outside rim and not on the delicate rubber part. Also comes with a really powerful magnet tool for collecting the keepers when the spring is unloaded. Do yourself a favor though and drill a small hole through the end of one of the pins (they give you multiples) and put a clip in it like I did (see picture) to keep the pin from falling out into the engine when you set the tool down in between valves. Minor gripe, because the set itself is really good quality for the price. I'm a 30+ year mechanic and love it when I come across a tool like this. As for the reviews that say there are no directions, my thought is that if you need directions, you probably shouldn't be doing this job.

Used to do the valve seals on a R56 Mini Cooper, worked perfect and at a great price! Only thing I wish was a little different were the pins in the compressor, you have to watch they don't fall out when no pressure is on the tool. Other than that it's a slam dunk.

Okay - yes this looks like the other tools out there that all work the same way. This product works well for me on my Mini Cooper engines. I have done one with the head on the engine and one with it still on.What I used:- Air hose- Spring compressor- Seal remover(s)What I did not use:- Seal drivers, but there is a variety of sizes- Keeper install tool, other than the magnetPros:- Quality parts, nothing looks to break easily- Works well where it fits- Will support a variety of applicationsCons:- Air hose did not include an adapter that fit my engine. I took one off my compression tester- There is nothing to protect the surface of the head. I cut gasket material and put that between the mounts and my head- There is nothing to keep the pin connecting the handle to the seat compressor from falling out. I install at the desired angle and wrap with electrical tape. Pin stays in place and the angle is set when I pick up the tool.- For my can, very hard to install the keepers. I use a long pair of pointed tweezers to speed up the process.Other note: I use the Lisle Keeper Removal tool to speed the removal. Great Tool. DO NOT use the associated installer tool!

The adapters contained in the kit, made it possible for me to get my valves springs, and all the rest of the parts off the head. Making it possible to take to the machine shop. This is a must have if you have Mazda Miatas.

Bar could be longer, didn't stay engage top cross pipe very well I should have had a helper. Very difficult to pull spring down and install locks. But did do the job. Wish would have mounted top head better. But would probably work very well in certain applications
