Features:
The Valve Spring Compressor is CNC machined, anodized, laser engraved.
This tool makes it easy to replace valve seals, valves, springs, and retainers.
The tool is attached to the head with 2 short bolts.
Once the tool is attached to the head you put a retainer cap (comes with kit) on the retainer/spring(s) you want change next you tighten a bolt that will push down on the retainer allowing you to easily remove the keepers.
Next simply UN-tighten the bolt and remove the retainer cap to remove the spring(s).
You can use this tool with the head on the block.
Installation instruction:
If using with the head on the block, cylinders need to be
pressurized to 100PSI to prevent the valve from falling into the
cylinder. If using with the head out of the engine compartment,
put something bellow the valve to keep it pressed upward.
Align the holes on the tool with the one the head, and place the
shorter bolts and washers to secure the tool.
Place the retainer cap on top of the retainer, lubricate the long
bolt with provided grease and start turning the long bolt
clockwise with the help of a wrench (14mm) to apply pressure
to the retainer cap and compress the valve spring until the
keepers are completely visible and can come out.
Using the magnetized end of the screw driver remove the keepers.
To reinstall the valve assembly, place the valve (if removed for
some reason), valve seals, valve spring, and retainer;
compress the assembly using the same steps as above.
Place a small amount of the provided grease on the flat tip of
the screw driver and place a keeper over it, the grease will hold
the keeper in place and allow you to place the keepers easily.
Once keepers are in place, start turning the bolt
counterclockwise to relieve the pressure of the valve spring.

This tool just requires longer 12mm bolts for a k24 cly head but honestly worked great might need a strong flat head adjustment when it's coming back up other that it's awsome for price.

I've used the old method of removing keepers with a socket, hammer and rag. Then I'd use a ford style 4.0 keeper tool to reinstall them and it was always a fight. I dont know why I didnt buy it before. I have rebuilt a few 2.4 hondas this last year without it amd now that I have it they're so much easier.

Couldn't believe it. After struggling on the 1st one, turns out the valve sticks out on the other end so that's why the keepers won't pop out. Just get a deadblow or a rubber hammer and smack that valve stick out and you'll hear a 'thwack' sound and the keepers pop out. Phew... those youtube video gurus were right! Spend no longer than 2 minutes for each one or you're in serious trouble!Breezed through intake and exhaust side and now just gotta rip those stubborn valve stems, replace the guides, give the head a good cleaning and im ready to install baby! 👏👏

It does work for all but one cylinder if the intake manifold is still on. There is a port on top of the intake that interferes with the mounting of the bracket. The mounting bolts could be a few threads longer. But for someone not trying to do this with the engine still in the car or the intake manifold still on the head…it gets the job done.

This is what I needed to remove the valve springs on my Honda K20 head!

Cheap, fast shipping and does the job well. Used it for my F20C in my S2K. Like the other guy said I would lubricate the threads so they dont strip, I didn't have any stripping issues but good precaution for aluminum.

This tool should not be marketed for Honda F20 and F22 engines without extensive modifications. The main bolt eats into the valve retainer holder. Lots of shavings everywhere. Job is changing AP1 retainers and keepers to AP2 gear. Spent many hours with Dremel tool grinding away the housing of this tool so that it could fit. By the time the 16 valves were done, the compressor piece is nearly broken through by the bolt. The soft aluminum just won't hold up to much repeated use.

Casi Perfecto, pero hay una posición en el K24 que no se puede colocar para trabajar en las válvulas de admisión del pistón 3, existe una pequeña toma de aire que no permite colocar la herramienta
