I don't write reviews often, and there are many times where I make a purchase and I think "WOW this is a great product I should totally write a review" but I never actually do. This product however I want to leave something because out of all the stud finders I've used... which has been like four (one including a cell phone app), this is by far the most easiest and accurate of them all. With previous stud finders I found it hard to believe the beeping, the accuracy, if it was actually doing it's job or just giving me whatever reading it wanted. And the reviews were always hit or miss. With this product it's a magnet, it's a magnet that finds the screw and thus finds your stud location. You simply cannot argue with the results, it's fool proof. Plus it has a leveler! And it needs no batteries ever... because it's magnetic. If you debating between stud finders, I would say you've found your one. When it locateds the screw as well it simply sticks to the wall, leaving you to grab a pencil or walk away while keeping the location known, plus it's so small you really have a good sense of where and how to mark your points. Very happy with this, to the point I'm actually taking the initiative to share my thoughts. Hope this helps someone

Loooove this. The level can rotate depending on which way you need something leveled. It’s small, but the magnets are very strong. Great great great for budget or simple stud finding!

This works perfectly and the fact that it can stay on the wall to mark the spot is so handy! I used it to be sure there was a stud where I wanted to mount a TV. When my handyman came to install the mount he was impressed with this gadget, and ordered one for himself. Buy it, it’s inexpensive , well made, works well and is handy to have around. Highly recommended

Great for wall studs. Bad for ceiling joists because it falls down on its own weight. If you are looking for something that works for both ceiling joists and walls studs,there are smaller, simpler and better options on Amazon.

I have tried the electronic sensing stud finders that can also alert to electricity. These can be challenging in my opinion and of course require a battery. The simpleness of a strong magnet finds the screws or nails and will hold well onto the wall once found. You will need to move around a bit to find the screws. I try in multiple locations just to be sure there is not an errant screw or nail in the wall that is not into a stud. And just to be sure, try the old knuckle knock. You should not be disappointed with this product and the price is perfect. Not sure how I would use the level and I am sure I will at some point.

So deceptively simple yet always does the job. I built a new home and now in the process of hanging so much stuff. I had the other stud finder that you swipe along the wall and it beeps. This one is so much easier as it just finds the drywall screws and sticks with its magnet. Bonus level in it helps to really pinpoint the spot. I have purchased several to keep in several spots in the house-so simple!

Didn’t work at first, so I changed the batteries and all was good. Just kidding. Turns out whoever built my apartment didn’t use very many screws to attach the drywall. Once I found a screw, I knew I found it, this thing grabbed tight. Wonderful, very strong. Of course it made me think I could probably just buy some rare earth magnets for 1/4 the price and slide them on the wall. But I love this thing, worth the money. Way more accurate than my battery one.

The inside of my closet was riddled with holes from a family member trying to hang something and randomly poking over 30 holes. After I stopped laughing I googled stud finder and found this great little tool. It works, no batteries, no fuss, good price. Not like those fancy inaccurate electronic ones. Just be careful around pipes and wires but that goes without saying.

Magnet is really strong, so finds the nails in the stud wall with ease. Didn't even need to check if we were in the middle of the stud, as it's that strong. Feels like the underside could mark painted walls if you're a bit heavy handed.
