I originally received this as a gift from someone in my family who mistakenly thought it was a clip-on desk lamp (I'd been looking for one) and while this most certainly is *not* a desk lamp, it's an amazing reading light!I gave this to my older mom (60+) since I didn't really need a reading light--and she loves it!! She won't stop talking about it. She's always had a bit of poor eyesight and that's getting worse as she gets older. This combined with the fact that the lights in our house aren't super bright means she often has trouble seeing what she's trying to read and reading during the day for her was no longer enjoyable but a frustrating experience. It's worse in the daytime because the sunlight is brighter than our lights--but not enough to illuminate her books to the point she needs.This little gadget solved that completely! 3 different brightness settings means she uses the brightest during the day to actually see her book with the sunlight, and she switches between the lowest and 2nd brightness setting at night. She had tried everything before this: rearranging lamps, leaning lamps against armrests so they were practically in her face (scary, dangerous, and worried everyone--luckily none ever fell but still), the flashlight from her phone, even other reading lights! Everything was either too flimsy, uncomfortable or still not enough light. This is perfect and it's great that it's rechargeable. She reads every day now and only has to charge it about once a week! Also: it doubles as a bookmark! She simply clips it from the front cover of her book to where she left off and it works brilliantly. The wire is also durable enough to where it stays in place but flexible enough that you can switch its position easily.Originally I was going to return it since like I said it was given to me as a "desk lamp" (which once again it most definitely is not) but then my mom noticed it and asked if she could have it before I had a chance to even begin the return. And I'm so glad she did! Cannot recommend this little reading light enough.

My six-year-old has really gotten into reading stories before bed and asked for a book light. We got her this one and she LOVES it. It's very durable, great quality and gives off good light! The clip holds very well and has a foam lining on the inside to ensure it doesn't cause any harm to the book/pages. I can tell it's going to last and will be well-used for many years to come.

This was exactly what my wife needed. I managed to read a lot of reviews and decided after careful consideration that this light will do the job. After I received the light, I thought they made a mistake. It looked like a small toy light but was surprised that it lit up very bright (extremely). There are 3 light levels and the one that my wife loves is the highest setting which lights up a book like a real led light plugged into the wall. The battery is long lasting and can be recharged with a USB slot (usb cable included). Its very light and does not add to any to any of the weight to the book as it is clip on and goes on the back of a hard cover book. If you want to use it any other way, it can be clipped to something above your head with a modification for clipon (head board, etc.) as it has a goose neck that is flexible and can direct the led light downward . I would say that it is best for hard cover books because of the clip on attachment. The light is daytime bright (whitish color) excellent for reading. Great product. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The last time our family ordered a set of these was over a year ago. I started buying them several years ago because my sons share a room and wanted a way to read or draw in bed at night with less disturbance to each other. We’ve gone to these over and over when they’ve gotten lost. I’m so happy with these book lights. The adjustable neck part of it is good quality and doesn’t fray. It adjusts well and stays. The light has different levels of brightness which is good. I love that they can recharge so we don’t have to deal with batteries - but the charge lasts a really long time. My sons use them every night and I charge them maybe once every couple of months. The only reason we’ve had to buy new ones isn’t because they’ve broken, but because we lose them. This is a great book light for kids.

I really like this product. I got this for my daughter's bday and the original one we were sent broke the first day we had it. The arm detached from the base and was only hanging on by the wires, I'm not sure if she was too rough with it or if it was defective. Customer service was easy to work with. The replacement we got has been perfect, no issues at all. It has 3 light settings and you can change the light from the bright to warm color or both. It charges really quick and my daughter loves it for after lights out. Highly recommend! I will be buying another for my other daughters bday too ðŸ‘

I can’t believe how much light this throws off. I find my kids have been reading so much more now due to being able to read anywhere they want. They clip on perfectly to their books. They have had them for over a month and they are still working perfectly
