We bought this to use at our cabin with a 55 gallon water drum that feeds a shower.Works well and seems sturdy. We've been using it on weekends for a month with no issues. The 'Telling" will be when we find out how well it lasts after the Winter. We drain the system but other valves get brittle and difficult to operator after a Winter of non-use in sub-zero cold. This one looks and the operational feel seems like it may actually last. Since it's twice the price of the others we've tried, we're hoping it will last more than a year.

Really well made. The spout is very large, but small enough I can still put a 2.5 gal container under the spout and the spout is small enough to fit inside. I am talking about a 2.5 gal jug that looks like a milk carton with the molded handle near the top. For the price this can't be beat.

Even though I bought this unit with Amazon Prime, it is NOT returnable! I wanted to return it for the following reasons:1. The spigot turn is stiff - if you don't hold on to the stem, you can pop it out of the threads2. The "vent" hole on top does not actually vent properly.3. The spigot is longer than the barrel, you can't lay it flat on the ground.4. The discharge sprays rather than a stream. Unless you are discharging into a tub, you will lose some liquid to splash.I cannot see any real advantage to this unit over installing a 3/4" spigot into a 2" bung cap, which are commonly available. I do not recommend this product.

This is the largest valve you can have for a 55 gallon drum. The only thing that could improve it is to have a "cap" that could be placed over the valve to keep dirt out when the valve is closed.

Nice sturdy item for dispensing a very viscous product from a steel or plastic drum, I think the following would be appropriate uses: resin, honey, molasses, oil, lecithin, etc. It comes with 2 black rubber gaskets, a thick and a thin, pick one and leave the other off. The cock seals well without over tightening and did not leak on the product I was using it on. Be careful when turning the cock, make sure not to put torque on the 2" drum connection by using two hands to operate the handle. I did it with one and the valve came off the steel drum causing a spill - thus no 5 star rating. Luckily the product did not flow too fast and I was able to get it put back on without much loss of product. The 2" threads were not damaged to my surprise.

Absolutely difficult to turn the knob, it takes a horse's power to rotate the level and we find it very difficult to operate. It does offer a good seal between the bung though

These are great pieces that came with multiple gaskets. I wasn't paying attention to outlet size when I ordered them. May have to downsize as the outlet is way bigger than I need for my application

Thought we would try this version with the extra valve to allow air in when open, turns out the valve really isn't that great because the liquid comes out of it as you are filling. Better to just open the other side of the barrel to allow air when tipped over. Over all quality is good, and I like the fact that there is a positive stop in the closed and open position compared to others which just spin completely around.
