This product promises accurate temps in 8-10 seconds. In my experience it is accurate but takes quite a while to complete a temp. I have used it to check on calves and it has taken a minute or more to beep. Very slow, and thus very frustrating. Taking a minute or more for a temp just adds stress to an already stressful situation for a calf.
