A very expensive key safe that can fit in a closet I urge nobody to even consider purchasing. Comes with fairly worthless instructions. Shelving system with no setup instructions that is not usable. Slide in shotgun rack will not fit most weapons and can not be properly secured. Cheap lock turning mechanism that requires user to grab top left corner to open the cabinet. Fingerprint ID not usable as is the code - though one of the provided keys will work and open your $150 42 inch tall lockbox. This is a complete waste of money I only purchased due to misleading advertising and the height of the box dimensions.

Lots of instructions on how to operate the locking mechanism. Absolutely NO instructions, or template, on how to mount INSIDE the wall between studs.

The portion that contains the innards of the lock mechanisms protrudes too far in to the storage compartment - rendering this safe useless for anything other than thinner items.Look closely at all of these types of items, you'll see the images of what's being stored inside are "photoshopped" in.Everything works, and it does what it says it will do - but it won't work with a lot configurations of items unless they fit under that lock mechanism housing.

slits down each side for shelf brackets, single layer steel, with no 100precent seal, door rattles, fire could get in from several points. I'm not returning it because fire protection is not an issue, but if it is for you, look elsewhere

The photo clearly shows an M4 style rifle which is more than 22 inches long. And yes it will fit with the door open, but any thing longer than 22 inches will prevent the door closing as the bolt and lock enclosure is in the way and takes more than half the depth of the cabinet. Any hand guard that extends past 22 inches isn’t going to fit for sure.

For the price this was an excellent buy. I would have given 5 stars but the door isn't exactly straight. A little warped leaving a small gap on top where you can peer in or insert a pry bar. Also was difficult to put in the clips for the shelves as it was snug to the studs in the wall cavity.Everything seems to work with ease. The alarm works well. My house was built in 1976 and my studs are all 16" on center and this slid in perfectly.
