I purchased this to sand a small drywall project in my home hoping it would reduce the dust. I did not even get my first horizonal seam done and realized this does not reduce dust at all. I tried hooking it up to my shop vac to help, but then with the cord and sweeper hose hooked up, it was impossible to control.It might help if your are one of those people that put on excessive compound and need to sand it all off again. I do not do that, so this sander was taking way to much off even with very fine paper.Impossible to do corners. It does not get within 2 inches of corners.The only positive comment I have is the vendor did return my item for full refund.

I have done drywall since I was fifteen. I look for a tool that can hook directly into my shop vac. Luckily this machine has a vacuum hose that can hook directly into my shop vac. This is a great little tool. But it is great for those tradesmen who have a touch for the machine. If you do not have the touch you can end up making a mess. Most of my machines take the standard 9 inch disk. In fact I have tons of 9in. disk. I do not usually use a machine I usually do the sanding by hand. I know exactly how much mud to apply. These electric sanders when they hit paper often fray the paper and leave your drywall not smooth. If you know what you are doing then this will work. It is a good machine and cheaper than you find in our local hardware store. Very durable.

Compared to doing all the sanding and clean up by hand, this is great. Will it get every last bit of dust? Not really, but you're also not spending thousands on equipment. This is a great middle ground investment, where it'll save your back and even your legs from standing long amounts of time on a ladder. And cut out a good portion of the clean up time by connecting to a shop vac to help pull in some of the dust as your sanding.I had a patch job to do over a stairway and this was exactly what I needed to get to the difficult area. It was a spot I couldn't get a ladder into, because of the stairs. This worked great for this. So I'm very happy with it.

So excited to get this, and shipping was SO FAST. On first try using its bag, I sanded my skimmed walls mud, and the clip on the bag came off spewing dust everywhere, so I hooked it up to my shop vac. The static electricity zapping my hands was amazing and strong, and all of a sudden the motor speed died off. No ummph. So I gave up, and used the longer pole ceiling sander by vevor. Later, I took the wall sander apart and saw the small solid state variable speed motor controller and knew that it failed. Oh well. Threw the whole thing away. Whatever. Seemed like a great idea, and I may buy another some day.

Used this product to help remove stucco from 2 bathrooms.Wetted stucco and scrapped off. A quick sanding with this machine to remove remaining stucco. Quick skim of plaster and another quick sanding with this machine and done. Ran the hose to my shop vac and 90% of the dust was contained which the biggest advantage!
