They say this is not for turning pens daily but I have found that to not be true. I do think this lathe needs 2 styles of rests because the one provided is sometimes too small. Easily fixed with a piece of aluminum angle, but still. There is a level of patience required to setup the piece you want to turn. This machine is customizable to work better. For example, sometimes...but not frequently...the provided tip to hold the material is too small. Easily replace with a cut drywall screw or wood screw. You can also purchase separately an adjustable chuck, which fits inside the key chuck provided. That makes some types of turning better on this lathe. I highly recommend after using it but YouTube is lacking on videos for these. The media reviews at the time I write this review are poorly done or done by influencers that don't really try using it properly. Do not compare these to mini lathes. Mini lathes are around $200-$300 dollars and more powerful than this micro lathe.

It works for my particular purpose which is small handles. However, the included spur is useless I had to make my own, same for the support piece, way too small and once you place anything on the lathe, you cannot have access to the adjusting nut. I made my own piece from a Stanley bracket. The shaping tools included are useless, I would recommend the manufacturer to ditch them and include a spur and wider support piece.

This is perfect for what I do! I use it to polish rings. Made a ring mandrel using it how it was intended. Thinking about making wood rings now. Great for the price. So far so good!

Extremely limpy, it's unable to cut anything without wanting to catch due to just about everything in this machine flexing.The tool holder and tailstock are laughable at best, they cannot be easily tightened or locked down, and the tool holder height adjust bolt stripped out the second time I used it while it also being far from tight enough to lock the thing down.I understood that it was a cheap lathe when I bought it, but I at least wanted to turn a single small table leg.

Got this to attempt to turn some basswood stock. When attempting to do so with the included tools the material would just constantly stop on the tool edge making it essentially unusable.

J'adore ce mini tour. On peut tout faire avec car il est bien puissant.Évidemment on ne peut pas faire de grosses pièces, mais ce n'était pas mon but.Moi je trouve que les outils fournis avec sont suffisamment corrects pour débuter.Pour moi le rapport qualité-prix vraiment bon.Boutons de portes, poignées, pièces d'échec, éléments de décoration. J'ai aussi pu adapté des clés de violoncelle sans devoir aller chez un luthier, ce qui m'a déjà remboursé largement le mini tour!Il est sans doute parfait aussi pour les maquettistes.Un petit outil vraiment très agréable à utiliser, précis et fiable.

Très bon produit la seul chose que je trouve dommage c'est de ne pas avoir de fixation pour fixer la machine sur l'établi

Glad I bought this. It is excellent for small projects. This product has 7 speeds. However, I have only used the two lowest speeds so far. Machine must be clamped down. Does not come with clamps. However, there are holes on each end so product can be screwed down. Machine is built well and does not warp. So far I have made wooden wheels for toy cars. Only down side so far is the quality of the chisles. However, can use other chisels.
