This is very close to what I wanted. Would have preferred the pullout loader for letters, but the model with that feature was too small overall for me. The flaw I found was that the lower package door has no way to stay shut unless it is locked. It has to be unlocked in order for the mailman to be able to access the package cimpartment. So, I got some stick on magnetic strips which I placed on the inside of the door frame all the way around the door and now it stays shut. Should be some sort of mechanism incorporated to hold the door closed when unlocked.

Unfortunately there is no way for a delivery person to leave a package in here without leaving the bottom unlocked, which defeats the purpose of trying to keep your packages secure. There is a mail slot for envelopes, but no package slot. Unfortunately, this does not work for me, so I returned. If you don't need to keep your packages secured, this could work and it is heavy and seems well constructed.

Box functions in the most basic way. Unfortunately the tray for the mail does not fit. So, good thing we have a separate mailbox. Also, a normal consumer probably doesn’t have an impact drill to install this. If IKEA sold this the design flaws and ease of installation would be there, but then it would be made of paperboard…Better design would mean five stars.
