I love the ease in using it and it is very quiet compared to other tumblers. The tumbler is great with no belts to worry about breaking ! It does an excellent job and I have it set up in a spare bedroom and you can't hear it unless you are by the bedroom door ! I highly recommend this rock polisher and I like it so much I have 2 of them and gave one away besides the two I have , good quality and very affordable, and easy to set up and use !!

Unfortunately this item did not work out for me. I decided to go another direction. I will say that even though this product did not work out, their customer service was incredible. They are the definition of what customer service should be.I appreciate them.

Maybe I got a dud. The package looked open and retaped, so maybe it was a return dud. At any rate, I got it as a Christmas gift to myself. I have the lowest price Nat. Geo. tumbler and it works great. I have watched youtube video that say it tumbled too fast, so decided to invest in another unit that would allow me to lower to raise the speed. I saw this unit as a plus, because it would be like the Nat. Geo. without a belt to replace. I put the few rocks that came with it and a few smaller rocks in it and it refused to turn. I emptied the barrel from three fourth full to half full and it refused to turn. It will only turn when the barrel is not on the wheel. I emptied the barrel and it still refused to turn. I went on the internet and realized others had this problem. I should have checked reviews before purchasing. I will add it to my list of stupid mistakes this year and move forward at some point with another Nat. Geo. unit.

We bought this to replace a starter rock tumbler that we wore out, and so far we're quite satisfied with it.Things that we like about this product:- Feels solidly constructed, especially for the price.- The drum capacity is a definite upgrade from the usual starter model (almost 2.5x over our previous model).- The direct drive motor is super quiet, and the overall operation is very quiet even with a full drum.- Ceramic media is included with the kit, where most starter kits only include some sample grit.- The interface is intutive to use and the settings are stored between power cycles. This surprised us when the settings we last used came back at power-on after the unit was unplugged to move it.- The included sample rocks shipped in nice reusable plastic cases instead of a plastic bag.

This tumbler is everything that the manufacturer has advertised. It's easy to use, it's not as noisy as others, and it is durable. Best of all, no belts and no leaks, and it has easy to understand instructions for operating.The stones that came with it were very disappointing. By the time the process is over, they had decreased in size drastically, most being unusable for anything. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase !!
