Tuning Apps
- To tune your violin, you can use a real tuner or download an App for helping. Here we have several Apps for recommendation to help you tune your violin, such as Master Violin Tuner, Violin Tuner, Tuner Lite, Violin Muti-Tuner, etc.
- The 1st string is tuned to E
- The 2nd string is tuned to A
- The 3rd string is tuned to D
- The 4th string is tuned to G
Tips for Tuning
- 1. Install the tuner on the headstock, turn on the tuner, and select V (VIOLIN) mode.
- 2. Turn the tuning peg and push it inwards to tune the strings. The strings are in tune when the tuner pointer reaches the center and the screen turns green.
- 3. The order of tuning is from string 2 (A string)-3 string (D string)-4 string (G string) to 1 string (E string)
- 4. You can use the fine tuner to tune to the target note more precisely. Turning the fine tuner clockwise increases the pitch, counterclockwise decreases it.
- 5. After tuning is complete, make sure that the tailpiece side of the bridge is still properly aligned
- 6. If the bridge is leaning in either direction, slightly loosen the strings and carefully re-align the bridge using both hands.
Bridge Installation Step 1
- Please turn the peg slightly counterclockwise to loosen the strings.
Bridge Installation Step 2
- Install the bridge in the recessed position of the panel. Place the four violin strings on the grooves of the bridge in order from string 4 to string 1
Bridge Installation Step 3
- Hold the bottom of the bridge with both hands so that the bridge is standing on the deck at a 90-degree angle.
Bridge Installation Step 4
- Tighten the peg clockwise or Gently turn the fine tuning knob on the bottom of the violin to tighten each string slightly so that the bridge pressure is parallel.

It’s doing the job for my entry level 6th grader, but the strings get lose more often than normal and it needs to be tuned every single time. Good learning experience though!

This review is for Vangoa's most expensive 4/4 violin model offered on Amazon. For a beginner instrument, this one has a surprisingly good sound quality. The violin is nicely made. The maple stripes are spray painted. Most importantly, it has a great tone: good projection, nice, balanced sound: neither too bright, nor too mellow, the different strings are balanced well. The bridge is not the best, but it works. The bows are OK and the other items included are functional too. The case is nice. The only thing which could be improved is the shoulder rest: it is not easy to fold and is uncomfortable. It took some time until the tuning pegs stayed in place, I guess the instrument needed to settle to the local climate. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised, for the price I wasn't expecting such a good sound quality.Having listened to YouTube sound samples of the usual beginner violin brands at similar price range (Cecilio, Mendini, Cremona etc. ), this Vangoa violin sounds better or just as good as those. I couldn't find much info about the Vangoa, but it seems that it is a relatively new offering and it seems that they take seriously quality control.For a moderately priced yet still very nice sounding violin, I highly recommend this Vangoa product.
