I'm a beginner violinist and I've recently become obsessed with this instrument. I think it's great quality and has a great sound, and it would be a great violin to play in a chamber orchestra or with other students in a school class. This is unprecedented for a violin for this price.Tiger pattern:The back of the violin has a unique tiger stripe pattern, which makes this violin very unique.Finish:The Eavnbaek violin has a thin matte finish, a finish that allows the wood to breathe naturally and the tone of the instrument should improve over time.Tone:It has a soft tone that isn't as great as the tone of those multi-thousand dollar instruments, but I think it has its own unique charm. It allows me to easily explore soft, subtle tones.Tuning:The strings (from LOW to HIGH) are G, D, A and E. Or you can watch some online videos to try out the tuning, which will also allow you to learn better. By the way, it also comes with a user manual.Rosin:It comes with 2 rosins (all the others only have one), and before we play the violin, we have to learn how to use it: first cut the rosin with a hard object, then apply it to the bow until the bow can make a sound on the strings, which may take some effort for a novice, but it is a must.Shoulder rests:Although I'm not used to using a shoulder rest to play the violin, it's very thoughtful to include a black shoulder rest, which should be useful for other buyers.Bow:I like the shape of its bows! The bow are nicely weighted and balanced, and should be adequate for most playing styles. Of course you need to adjust the tension of the bow before playing, and that's a learning curve.Other accessories:The black carrying case comes with some accessories, which is handy for beginners because they don't have to spend other money on these. For example, extra strings, wipes, yardage and a shoulder strap for the bag. I think almost all available accessories are included.

Most of the strings snapped when taken out of the case. I am not satisfied with the product. Its a very light and cheap material for it to be a violin.

Goodness gracious! What an unusual value for the price!! The violin is excellent.I will say that the bow here was nearly unusable. I suggest to buy a separate bow. Other acessories that came with the violin are flimsy but ok. The case is light but surprisingly solid.I would say that the instrument itself is thoroughly worth the cost here. Everything else is really just frills that you can pick up a better quality option in a music shop or order separately.

This Eavnbaek violin is a nice, authentic, acoustic four-string violin that will get you started in your musical journey! Included in the package is everything you need to get started: A violin, bow, strings, rosin, shoulder rest and bridge -- all stored within a zippered case with a carry handle. Some instructions are provided but be aware that if you have no experience with a stringed instrument you'll need to pack some patience and take your time setting things up. If you're taking lessons or know someone knowledgeable with violins, you should have them help you get started.I jumped into this project with no prior violin experience and after about an hour my violin was making noises! Here are some tips:1. You will likely need to restring the violin since it is shipped with the "bridge" uninstalled. The bridge is a small piece of wood that sits under the strings (with the taller end positioned to the LOWEST/FATTER string). The bridge is held in place by the string tension. It sits in the middle of the "S" holes on the violin. My violin arrived with a string popped and a fine tuning bolt had fallen off, which I was able to locate in the case.2. Familiarize yourself with the pegs -- these are what allow you to tension the strings. The end of the string is inserted through a small hole then the peg is turned clockwise to tighten. The pegs can be pushed into the violin to lock them.3. In order to use the bow you will need to apply ROSIN (included) - without ROSIN on the bow the violin will not make any sound. Score the new rosin using a blade then run it along the bow. It can take a few minutes to apply enough rosin to the bow. Also be sure to adjust tension of the bow.4. Tuning. You'll need to tune your violin -- frequently and often. The strings (from LOW to HIGH) are G, D, A and E. Online videos can help you tune the violin. Adjust the peg tension until you get in the ballpark, then use the fine-tuning pins on the tailpiece.5. Holding the violin. Place the violin so that your chin is on the chin rest and the violin is resting on your shoulder. I used the picture in the instructions to help me with this.6. Playing the violin. Use the bow on the area of the strings just above the bridge. Use your fingers on the neck to adjust the notes. Use long motions on the bow and change the bow angle to activate various strings or combinations of strings. Practice! You may want to watch some videos online to familiarize yourself with the various steps I've outlined. And pick up some extra strings, too. The violin has a learning curve, for sure.I would recommend this violin as a great first step in your violin journey. It has everything you need to be able to learn to play a violin! You bring the patience and the practice to create your own music!
