After finding our 8yo decking and handrail rotted; We decided to replace with composite. Within measuring and researching this came across the joist tape products. This pack was perfect for our deck size; we finished with a partial left.The product applied easy to top of joists.

I requested and received “for free†this SET OF VIVIDA DECK JOIST BUTYL TAPE to test and give my honest opinion. I have finished about 95% of my LARGE deck rebuild before finding out about using this style of tape to seal out moisture getting into the joists. Since the major damage to my old deck and the hardest to replace was rotted out joists (rotted out deck planking was to be expected and relatively easy to replace) I ordered this tape and will use it when we finish building the deck when the weather turns nice again. I did have a chance to use this tape on a SMALL section of the new deck and on some joists that have no decking boards attached yet and the tape has stuck to the boards tight and firm. One star off the rating because this tape IS NOT AS SUPER STICKY as some other styles of Butyl Tape I have since seen, but since it is designed to have deck planks holding down almost all of it I feel it should work fine. Another "fear" from some builders is that the tape will HOLD IN THE NATURAL MOISTURE or the moisture in damp wood and not let it escape, so be certain the wood is BONE DRY before using it. I got the 6 roll package of the 2 inch by 50 foot rolls that should be enough for what I need to finish my deck with, and checking the current Amazon ad from this seller there is a 20% discount deal being offered, for how long I do not know.Ordering as a Vine member does not mean I’m getting "free products". Between my time for testing the product, doing an honest review and the INCOME TAX I am liable for because I am "receiving items of value in lieu of wages" based on the LIST PRICE with no coupons allowed to be used, there is a real cost to these items "paid for" by me. Since most of the items offered to VINE Member are Brand New, never on the market before MANY TIMES the price drops or coupons become available to every Amazon buyer a week or so after VINE Members orders them at FULL LIST PRICE. This really affects any saving VINE Members may end up with... So far I have been having a great time "doing my VINE job", and I hope to continue doing it for quite some time....
