The Magnus desk is metal encased particle board, so the desk tends to bend with a narrow base monitor stand, have 3 monitors on a single stand, also by VIVO, but it was sagging forward. After installing the reinforcement plates, there's no sag, very stable. The only problem for the Magnus desk is that the plate narrows the gap for the cable management door, so a bundle of wires that used to fit now have to fan out.But the plus side is that it spreads the pressure over a larger area and my magnus mat won't have indents from the mount base.

Great way to distribute the weight on your clamp-on monitor mount. It takes up little space and gives the illusion there’s more flat space. I have a cheap ikea desk that’s pretty much made of cardboard so the right amount of weight and right pressure would cause it to dent/break, but this plate has been keeping that from happening

The mount is holding two 24" BenQ monitors, plenty sturdy on my VIVO standing desk with a 2' deep x 5' wide 1/2" thick tempered glass top

Got this to beef up my monitor mount. The clamp had a pretty small footprint so I got this to help spread out some of the tension of the arm and my desk. Simple but effective.

I purchased a glass top standing desk for the office. Loved my desk at first- but I hated the way the desktop monitor stands blocked my view of people in my office. The desk manufacturer strongly recommends against mounting monitor arms so I felt trapped with these stupid monitors in my face and had begun to hate my desk.Then I stumbled onto this. Game changer! I was still worried about the pressure on the desktop - but I noticed one of the other reviewers took pics and had the same desk I am using. Decided to take on the risk and ordered this along with a dual spring arm monitor.FANTASTIC. Because the monitor arm set up I am using has 2 tightening screws and this only came with one SMALL reinforcement for under the desk, I used a wood block to distribute the pressure underneath.VERY satisfied. The monitors can easily be adjusted to the side when I am talking to clients or the boss - and I am very comfortable with the product's design and ability to distribute the weight and protect the desk. My monitors are sturdily mounted and I have acquired what feels like immense desktop real estate. YES!I hesitated to make the purchase because I really questioned whether it was worth the cost. I'm glad I did. The mounting pieces are sleek and trimmed nicely which keeps the desk looking professional (the wooden pieces is hidden under a 3" ledge) and the metal is solid and has a protective liner on the side that touches the desk/glass. Keeper.

Just to be sure that my 40+lbs (total) Monitors on my desk, had me concerned that the mount point might fail (typical particle board covered by vinyl veneer desk), and I wasn't worried about the desk, just mount failure. This has completely removed that concern from me...essentially, it creates a 1/16th inch steel plate veneer for my monitor mount to clamp to. Great product, great design, great solution.

This was worth every penny. It’s a flimsy desk but the arm and very heavy monitor are sturdy and I don’t worry. Better they had the white option to disappear into my desk. Recommend!

Its easy to install.Material is very sturdy and high quality.In the middle is 34in ultrawide with two 24in on the sides and the monitors will not sink down over time.I added a couple 2x4 blocks for support underneath since the desk was too thin.Been using it for little over a year and face no problems at all.

I previously tried to use a heavy duty arm with an ikea linnmon table top. That put dents into the table top. Rather than buying a new top, I put this underneath the mounting arm to both support it and cover up the dent. It's been months of perfect use. Bought 2 more. of various shapes
