I use this converter between the headphone output of an older Element TV and the digital optical-to-HDMI adapter input of an older Sonos Arc sound bar.It works great, so the TV remote is able to adjust the volume. My son gave us the TV and the sound bar, both used, and he connected them with the optical output from the TV. That worked, but we needed to use the Sonos app to control volume. Now the TV remote controls volume, and sound quality is fine!

This Analog to Digital Audio Converter works as advertised. My configuration is computer audio 3.5 mm analog to converter and then out via toslink optical to a lower end tv soundbar. I'm not sure exactly why the audio would not work initially, but have to presume it was on my end with either the PC or the soundbar. It suddenly started working and sounds a lot better than my previous configuration with PC speakers. I notice no drop in audio volume using the device, so if there is any -- it's insignificant. Likewise, the quality of sound appears to be fine and mostly dependent upon my PC + Soundbar with no interference from the device.

I purchased this converter to connect a cassette player (AUX) to my DAC (TOSLINK) and it works great. Sound is clear and allows me to enjoy all of my 1980s nostalgic sounds. IK, IK I can listen to all of the albums from a streaming platform and it will sound better, but the nostalgic value of the cassettes cannot be ignored.

This is a great little tool to convert audio media efficiently. It has great sound quality compared to another brand that I tried and provides hi fidelity stereo conversion to my tv soundbar. My only issue is that on occasion, the sound will cut out for a minute or two. I’ve isolated the issue to the actual device and I’m wondering if mine is just defective in some way. I may replace it with a new one and see if the issue persists but it is something to keep in mind with these devices. Other than that it is a great little product.

Connected my 15 year old speaker system to my TV. My TV had a 3.5 mm output sending signal to a sound system that only received optical sound cable. This converter worked perfectly. Requires a USB power source which most power strips have a USB power strip with it.

I have an older 2.1 PC speaker system that I love, that only has a digital input. I needed to connect a mini-PC that only has audio out through a 3.5 analog jack. This was a good solution. For such an inexpensive analog-to-digital converter, I am impressed that it does not seem to introduce any discernible noise or distortion. Great device. Highly recommended!

Using to send audio from a TV to a Soundbar. It works well when I first start using it, but after between 5-20 minutes audio will just stop playing and will take a full minute or two to resume function. This makes it pretty much impossible to use to watch a show or movie.

I didn't think this would sound any good but I needed it to make it work with my setup. But I was shocked that the audio actually sounded great when converting 3.5mm to optical. Fair warning the type of 3.5mm cable really made a difference and type of optical helped but the 3.5mm really was the main difference at least for me.Great Analog to Digital converter!

Got this to run some RCAs from my switch box to my Samsung soundbar and it works perfectly. Haven't had any issues with audio cutting out or any other audible defects from the unit and appears to work just fine. Amongst the items on the switch box connected to this unit are classic consoles to even an old VCR and I haven't had any issues with them so far. Honestly wish I found this thing sooner

I bought a new monitor for my PC, the monitor does not have any built in speakers but they do provide high quality 3.5mm jack output for headphones of external speakers. I bought Bose sound bar for this setup. Little did I know the sound bar has Bluetooth, HDMI or Optical support only. Since I had only one HDMI output from my PC to monitor, I bought this. A small 3.5mm jack wire connects my monitor with this and then the provided optical cable goes out from this to my BOSE sound bar. Remember, this device also needs USB power to work. And it work wonderfully well. Crisp clear sounds and I love it. Highly recommended if you need to convert from 3.5mm jack to optical 😎

Fácil de instalar y usar. Lo utilizo para conectar un tornamesa enteramente analógico a mi Home Theater, ¡y se escucha excelente!

I have an older Sony Home Theatre System that puts out a sound that rivals today’s new technology. I also have an even older Technics linear turntable and wanted to listen to my collection of vinyl albums once again. I needed a preamp and a way to connect the two devices. The Suca Audio preamp was my solution. It’s an inexpensive quality little box that works perfectly.
