I purchased this to use with neonate venomous snakes and its prefect. With the two options for hook sizes and the adjustable length, this hook can be used for various sized animals. It's also solid feeling in the hand. Would definitely purchase again.

I am recovering from surgery and I cannot bend. I've had several packages arrive at my door and I can't pick them up. This snake hook has been very helpful because I can gaff the box and bring it in it's also a strong enough to help me bring the box up to the table from the ground .. I am weight restricted so I can only left something within 20 pounds so this has been very helpful. It also was helpful in my car believe it or not to help me pull the door shut..very grateful to find this product.. very pleased with my purchase.

I like the size of the hook of the larger one. However, the extender feature causes the hook to spin, which can make getting my snakes out with this hook difficult. I would say it is okay for a calmer snake like a ball python, but if you have a feistier snake, maybe look for something more solid.

Allows the herpetologist to safely maneuver the snake for capture without undue stress. It should work for all but the heaviest American snakes. It has a second hook for small animals.
