Real hit with kids ages 1 & 3- so much that they are fighting over who gets to play with it. Great for motor development, especially for the young one (whom the gift was actually for). The older sibling just finds it fun and exciting to pound on it... I will say, they go on it pretty hard and it hasn't broken so far, so I'd say it's pretty sturdy!

I bought this toy as a gift for my 13-month-old niece. At first, she was mainly interested in the different colored balls. She didn't understand the toy and focused mainly on removing the balls from the little holes and putting them back on. The first day she got extremely frustrated with it and even kicked it down. However, after playing with it for a few days and watching me, she is learning to color code the balls and has learned to use the little hammer. Her eyes light up every time we bring the toy out for her to play with. She's getting the hang of it the more and more we play with it. That being said, if your little one is having a hard time with this toy just keep practicing and showing them how to play with it. They will get the hang of it and love it!

This isn't the most sturdy toy because of the tray that catches the balls as they roll out, it doesn't quite snap into place, at least not with the one I purchased. It isnt very noticeable and doesnt interfere with play at all.. it is super cute, my kid loves it, and it is no cause for concern on a carpet, not sure how it'd be on a hardwood floor. For the price, it was well worth it and I have no complaints!Update- so I gave it a go again and was able to snap the ball tray fully into place with some real effort. While it is a very light plastic and therefore wobbles a little when the balls are hit really hard, it hasn't fallen over yet! I've updated my review to a full five stars because for 20 bucks, this is absolutely worth the buy!!

Update: Company contacted me and told me to keep the defective item that I had to repair and refunded me the money so I definitely recommend this company! This item came defective with the last row too narrow for the balls to go through which makes them all get stuck and you can't get them out! So I had to carefully take it apart and use a tool to shave it out larger without damaging it even more. It was super hard but I finally got it to work and glued it back together and would never have went through all this headache except it is so cool looking and none of the others had the dinosaur at the end and the neato hammer with the bop top. They need to fix this defect which is reflected in other negative reviews because it will cause a lot of disappointment and returns. Otherwise, it is a super cool fun toy and my grandchildren love it!

I am a Speech Pathologist & have used this style/type of toy with former young clients. My old one was very sturdy as I still use it for speech therapy, so I was hesitant about how sturdy this one would be. It has always been very motivating for toddlers.I gave this to my 1 year old Grandson for Christmas. He absolutely LOVES it! I liked the 3 tier layers, so that was what drew me to it. He bangs the heck out of it & it has proven to be VERY sturdy. My daughter in-law says it is a favorite toy for him.I would highly recommend this toy for any toddler.

The balls get stuck where the green tube meets the clear tube. Really disappointing because my son has to push each ball where they get stuck to get them to go down the clear tube. Other than that it’s a cute toy.

My one year old loves to play with it! I haven't given him the mallet yet so for now he slaps the balls down; when he gets bigger he'll level up. I do like that both ways work with the toy. He's a fairly strong baby and the toy store stand up to the abuse very well.I also like that there's a colored hole to go with each ball. My son's been using the red ball to go into the red track, for example. So it's already helping him sort colors. Something I didn't realize when I bought this for Christmas.
