I easily replaced my lifestraw filter after two months use as suggested. This filter fits perfectly and is very easy to install. No change in water taste or color. This item is reasonably priced and was shipped to me quickly. But, I have to say, I do love my Lifestraw water pitcher!

Uses LifeStraw in description but not a LifeStraw certified product. I knew as soon as I felt the weight of the package, very light like cheap plastic which is the opposite goal/values of lifestraw and its customers. I immediately came back to the product and saw it was not the official seller. I should have been more thorough but I bought this by using the “Buy Again” option. I must have hit the “sponsored” ad. Sneaky business tactic.

Liked the first few boiled tap water fills from our well but soon noticed floating tiny particulate we believe to be calcium and gray shale. It's not a bunch, sorta forms a film but seems that it shouldn't? A change of the charcoal filter provides clear water again for about a week. The filters are too costly to change with that frequency.
