I tried this product in order to waterproof an outdoor carpet. I applied extra coats according to the directions. The carpet was saturated after first rain and there was no protection at all. I would never use this product as it does not perform as it CLAIMS it will.

Having gone to the expense and trouble of fitting a fairly expensive automotive carpet in the back of my pick-up so the dogs could have a little comfort, it seemed sensible to waterproof it and give it some resistance to water and mud. The description and reviews of this product were brought to convince me that this would do the job. I have applied it as per the instructions and left it for 24 hours to dry ( in the house, not outside in the cold truck). I thought I would give it a try before refitting it to see how well water beaded on the carpet. It doesnt. At all. The few drops of water that I tipped on immediately soaked into the carpet, and straight through to the latex backing. This product has not made the slightest difference to the carpet or ant of the fibres and has given it no stain or water resistance at all. A complete waste of time and money. If a zero star rating was available, that's what I would give.
