Series 530C Calibrated Pressure Relief Valves are used in commercial, residential and industrial applications to protect against excessive pressure in systems containing water, oil, or air. It consists of a bronze body construction with NPT threaded male inlet and NPT threaded female (drain) outlet connections, stainless steel spring, brass bonnet, Buna-N disc, and Buna-N O-ring. Series 530C has a calibrated adjustment feature for setting the valve to the required relief pressure, and is ideal for by-pass thermal expansion pressure relief (not ASME approved). Model 530FP is for use in fire protection systems.

I am using a jaccuzi pump for irrigation, and needed a blow off type of pressure regulator. I ran from the output back to the input, and set the pressure to 75 PSI. seems to be working. Mark.

I used this on a cold water system where I had a very accurate built in brand new pressure gauge. This relief valve essentially failed at all pressure in the sense that it leaked regardless of the system pressure and regardless of the relief valve setting. Very annoying considering the cost. Also, the pressure markings are done in some type of black marker that comes off the first time you rub over it with your wet hand. Your hand is wet because the relief valve fails to hold. I assume either the rubber washer or the seat is defective.Product support was of no help.

This product contains lead. I don't see that in the product description. I can't use this in my household, it couldn't be safe.

Immediately after installing the piece, it started leaking. not from any of the threading but out of the relief port. I increased the pressure setting and it made no difference. It's a slow leak but i would expect something so expensive to be built better. I can't bring myself to uninstall it and go through the ordering and install process all over again.

I installed this valve and tried to adjust it to stop leaking but that never happened. It is a slow drip that will just not stop no matter how many times I turn it.... Went back to try again months later and the drip speed actually increased a little bit.
