The Wayne 1/2 HP cast iron submersible sump pump is designed for work in sump pits 11 inches or larger. Its ceramic mechanical seal keeps this pump going in even the most demanding environments, and the 1 1/2-inch discharges creates maximum flow and ensures easy installation. It works 9 inches on level or 4 inches off level. A two-pole switch prevents basement flooding in the event that one pole sticks, and disconnecting 115-volt conductors prevent damage from lightning. The automatic overload mechanism prevents damage to motor windings, permanently lubricated ball bearings need no oiling, and the waterproof three-prong grounding wire with an 8-foot extension reaches distant outlets. Wayne backs its pump with a three-year limited warranty.

Have had this for several months and seems to be working great. I live in a wet area and this runs several times daily, its also very quiet. And was super easy to install.

I have been presently surprised with how quiet and powerful this sump pump is and at what I consider a very reasonable price. If it only last 5 years I'm more than happy to purchase another one as I spent a lot more for other sump pumps in the past that were either noisy or didn't seem to dispense the water as quickly.

I needed a new sub pump the old one was working but very noisy I bought this sub pump because of the reviews and it didn’t let me down. The product is just like the manufacture states easy to install works great I added a new check valve dead silent. If you want a reliable and quiet sump pump I recommend this product anyone

This is working very well so far in basement. Not real loud at all, but enough that I know it is doing the job. Nice Sump Pump so far

This is my 3rd pump. All the others failed (different brands) with very limited use. It sits in a basement in Houston, TX (where no one should ever have a basement). This thing just survived hurricane Harvey and pumped water NONSTOP with around 50" of rainfall (I don't know how they measure that, it seems to be much greater on the ground) for 5 days!!! And it cleaned out the whole area where even moderate rainfalls flood this basement. We're talking 3-5ft of water continuously over 5 days. It wasn't fast enough to dump that water out without the water level rising, but what pump out there is? Completely shocked as these aren't made for that much rain, but this pump survived without issue. Really, an incredible pump and brand. You should buy this!!! Except you may want an extended warranty if offered - mine died 1 year after the warranty was up. As always with today's devices. Not built to last 30 years.

I live in Minnesota, USA - a dependable, properly functioning sump pump is critical. My aging existing sump pump failed just as the thaw hit in March 2022, which is terrible timing. This could potentially flood my basement. I did some quick research and found the Wayne CDU800 was highly regarded on the internet, so I ordered it. The price was attractive and it arrived very quickly. It was pretty easy to install - took less than an hour - with basic tools and know-how. The directions were clear and easy to understand. The pump is a simple design, functions properly, and operates almost noiselessly. It gives me real peace-of-mind to have that pump in place, doing it’s thing. I will be using Wayne products as needed moving forward.

Bought a twenty year old house and the sump pump in the basement was old and loud, and the float switch was broken. This Wayne pump seems to be well regarded so I ordered it along with a check valve. Keep in mind I've never owned a house with a basement and never touched a sump pump in my life. I cut the PVC leading to the old pump and removed it. Screwed the check valve in, clamped the PVC to it, then joined the PVC pipes with a rubber coupler for easier removal when/if this thing dies. Took me all off ten minutes from start to finish. Turned it on and I could barely hear it running. Float switch works perfectly, sucks up the water super fast too. Very impressed with this pump and I highly recommend it. Only small gripe I have is that I believe it should come with the check valve but that was cheap enough. A+

I have used the tether float system for years , in a narrow pit . This pump offered a VERTICAL FLOAT SYTEM , protected by a Metal wire loop, which will rub FIRST on the pit wall , vs . the float . No brainer , go with the vertical , and DOUBLE BONUS , switch is tested over 500 K times , and the actual float is a replaceable part fitting ALL models of Wayne vertical switches . Must do’s : Elevate the pump with a brick , etc on pit bottom ( 1†-2†will work ) And after much collaboration, even Wayne saying No Need , drill a Weep Hole, 3†up from pump attachment on discharge pipe, below check valve . Yes , the WAYNE PUMP , prevents cavitation, in the pump itself, but not the discharge portion. A really good Pump and proudly assembled in the USA 🇺🇸.

Every couple of years I replace my sump pump to avoid any water issues. Decided to give this one a try and I am not disappointed. The pump is sturdy and easy to install. It concerned me at first since I couldn't hear it running. Checked on it a few times and it was functioning perfect. I will replace it with the same product at the end of the warranty in 3 years. I recommend this sump pump.

I got this pump because it was very similar to another one that I had before made by Rigid. I think actually Wayne makes these pumps for Rigid and puts the Rigid name on them because they are identical. Home Depot doesn't have the Rigid pump anymore and I was looking for a quiet pump and this is the ticket. My sump pit is in my basement under my bedroom and I hear every time the pump runs at night. Everbilt and Simmer pumpes are noisy! Not this on. And it was less expensive than the other options.So happy with this purchase.

I bought this pump to replace a Simer pump I installed in 1993. I felt it was time. The Wayne pump is easy to install and it worked beautifully when I tested it by filling my sump pit; very quiet. That may be the only time it gets used except for testing occasionally. I live in an area where my weeping tiles drain directly into the sewer system. If the sewer system backs up then the excess water will run into my sump pit. That situation is a rare occurrence but it can happen. The sump pump is basically standing guard in case that happens. It provides peace of mind.
