  • Yes. When properly installed, you can safely enter a car wash. However, it is not recommended to use an automatic "brush-style" car wash.

  • The Stone & Bug Deflector’s higher profile helps deflect bugs and debris away from your vehicle’s hood and windshield. The Hood Protector’s "surface-mount" low-profile helps protect your hood from debris.

  • In some cases, the hood might just need to be pushed down to latch properly. Be sure to follow the installation instructions carefully as completing the steps out of order can lead to similar issues.

  • The Stone and Bug Deflector uses a special automotive adhesive that does not remove, scratch, or fade paint.

Great looking but will require some cutting. BE CAREFUL THOUGH. ONCE YOU CUT YOU HAVE COMMITTED. This is a very thick and durable piece but it will not fit on a 2012 Explorer XLT without some cutting. This is due to the hood not being able shut due to the grill clearance and this product. The deflector's front contour is not extreme enough to allow the hood to close; even if you adjust the hood stops the stated 1.5 turns counterclockwise. I would not recommend this product to any XLT owners (the issue may apply to other models as well).
