OK, so I don't usually write a lengthy review but feel that this item needs one. Overall, as a dust collector, this thing is a beast. And for the price point, it's fantastic. The price point is why I'm giving it a 5 star and not a 4 star. Two negatives about this product. One, which has already been well documented by other reviews, is the instructions. They're terrible. I actually returned the first one b/c I thought WEN had not drilled the correct size holes for the bolts that attach a component. So I returned it and purchased another one hoping for a different result. Fortunately I spent a little more time reviewing the number of bolts, sizes, etc. to figure out that I had used the wrong bolt in my last attempt at assembling it. WEN will save themselves a lot of money on returns if they take 2 sec to publish a descent set of instructions.Second negative is the casters. The stock casters that come with it are no good. After about a week they started getting stuck and I had to force the entire machine against the stuck wheels. Very frustrating. I purchased a set of 2" casters (link below) and swapped out the stock casters for these. Initial indications are the new casters are terrific, but I've only had them on for one day. But a night and day difference. Bonus about these casters is the predrilled holes in the base of the machine line up perfectly for the new casters so I didn't even have to drill any new holes in the base. Took 10 min to swap out the casters. Would take even less time had I not put the stock casters on in the first place.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TC3R3CH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

It came packed well, without damage. Assembly was easy and quick. Once setup, it rolls easy, it's not too loud, and it really sucks! I've used it on some of my tools and it keeps my shop clean. I'm excited to plumb it throughout my workshop.

I purchased the WEN 3403 Dust Collector several months ago and put it through the paces with my table saw, 16-32 drum sander and band saw. It performed well with plenty of suction with the 1,500 CFM motor. I would of given it five stars but I had several issues; first, the instructions are poor - after assembly the wheels had problems moving and I noticed they were not fully turning and hitting the bolt. This was easily remedied by turning the bolts around and placing the nut on the top of the base. Second, I had some minor dust blow out when using my drum sander for fine sanding - upgrading to a smaller micron upper bag (3 or 4 Microns) would solve this. Finally, I had a hard time finding a replacement 50-gallon lower bag as WEN does not make one. Standard and heavy-duty trash bags are too wimpy. Luckily I found a Powertec 70002 clear dust collection bags are sturdy and fit well. They are 20" by 43" and made of a heavy duty plastic. I found them on Amazon for $17 for a five pack. Defiantly a keeper once the bugs are worked out.

I felt like I was taking a little bit of a risk with this brand as I had no experience with their equipment. The specs were good and the reviews were good so I decided to give it a try. It was easy to assemble and it works very well. I have it hooked up to a cabinet saw. The dust collector does a great job of gathering the dust. I’ve used it to build all my kitchen cabinets and a few vanity cabinets, and other projects. I have no complaints. There is a warning that the startup current is high and may cause circuit breaker tripping. I have it on a 20 amp circuit and it has not tripped the breaker yet.

this thing is easier on the ears than my 5 gal shop vac.it moves a lot of air. no dust escapes my table saw now. there was a note it should be used on a 25 amp circuit breaker due to start up, so i tested it. the highest reading i got was 18 amps, but only for a split second. running amps is 8.6. a 20 amp breaker will easily handle this. the rods that hold in the filter assy. are bit flimsy in my opinion, but they work just fine.i wasn't expecting much for the price, as i have spent more than this on shop vacs over the last few years.this is well worth the money. it impressed me, which isn't easy to do.

For the price this is a good machine. A little noisy but it does what it's supposed to do. The only trouble I had with assembly was the metal bands that serve to hold the filter and collection bags in place are thin enough to be sharp on the edges, so when you are trying to wrestle them around the cylinder you can get cut, which I did. Other than that all the parts were there and the instructions are fairly straight forward. One comment would be to attach the handle to the cylinder before attaching the bags. The instructions have you attaching the handle after the bags, which requires you to remove the filter bag to attach the handle. I also took the time to lay out all of the screws, bolts and nuts, grouping them by their size. Made things allot easier as well as gave me the opportunity to make sure all the components were there in the proper count. One other note, and maybe I missed this somewhere in the description, but there is a label on the motor assembly that says you should be running the machine through a 25 amp or larger breaker. Well I don't have anything larger than 20 but it seems to work fine with the table saw and the dust collector running at the same time. Might be a problem down the road but I didn't feel like hiring an electrician to run a separate line.
