These are the nicest white pencils I’ve used in a long time. Price was great too! And they have been “floor tested†(I dropped a couple of them). Lead didn’t crack & sharpened great-no splintering or cracking, yet it remained soft enough to continue drawing. Very pleased with these pencils!

These pencils came unsharpened and were in turn so hard to sharpen that I had to default to using an Exacto knife. The the tips cracked and broke super easily and so went through almost a whole pencil in one session of drawing. A waste of money

The color is good but you need to be carful sharpening them because they can easily break. I can sharp them well with an x-acto knife

I actually bought these to mark on paintings in progress. Not only do they lay down well, but they erase off a painted surface nice n clean if you use a quality eraser. {They won't disappear from black surface.} Fair price. I now have a couple of these in my paint box while the others reside w my drawing supplies. I don't know much about "charcoal" but I do know that to get anything better to express myself in white, I'd have to go for a Prismacolor. These white charcoals could actually get me interested in charcoals!

Great medium for young Pupils to learn the greatest medium for black and white.

These are great. I like to sometimes draw on black paper and these work well. There can be some breakage but I kind of expect that with charcoal pencils. I think this is a great value for them. I'm used to art supplies costing so much more! I don't draw on black that often so it might take me awhile to use all these up but I'd want to order them again once I do.

Unusable! As was said in another review, it is impossible to sharpen these. I've tried with both knife and sharpener. Neither works. The lead just keeps falling out of the wood, hinting that it's thoroughly broken inside and that no amount of sharpening will give any other result. After chewing up about three inches of a brand new pencil and was still unable to use it without the lead falling out, I gave up. It's possible that I got a bad set, since I see that most other reviewers don't have this issue.
