I'm not sure if I just received a unit that was dropped to hard in shipping or what but this leak detector is a piece of crap. I spent hours trying to get it to pair up with my fiber optic high speed wifi. I followed the instructions to the number and could not get it to function on the 2.4ghz network. (Speed tested at over 800mbps and all of my 9 Wyze cameras that operate on the same band work flawlessly on the highest settings) After not getting it to work on wifi, I figured well, I can at least use it as a alarm since someone is usually home, and then it wouldn't sound when I tested it using water in a glass. I should have did a couple short videos but didn't want to waste anymore time and frustration. 0 stars for this leak detector. Returning and will get a different name brand...***Update***Jumped the gun on leaving the review. The Seller responded quickly to the situation and was very professional. Sent a good working replacement with providing assistance in the installation. Went above & beyond on taking care and am changing the product rating to 5 stars as accidents happen...

I purchased this sensor on July 12, 2024. Simple enough to set up and I felt protected. On night (while sleeping) it activated. Into the crawl space to the sump pit. There was no apparent reason for the activation. The sensor head was dry. It did reset and I thought it was just a fluke. Last night, it went off again. Back to the crawl space and again no apparent cause for the alarm. The sensor head was dry. I decided to remove it for now. I put the batteries back in and it was on the ground in front of me when it activated again. I am looking at it and know that there's no reason for the alarm. 6 months and not dependable. I could find no way to contact the company. It has only a 30 day return through Amazon. There is no company to stand behind the product. I ordered a different water sensor from a different manufacturer. Too bad, I sorta liked it, but not if I can't depend upon it. Buy something from a different manufacturer.

It took a bit to get this connected to my phone. I had to install the Tuya app. I already had Smart Life installed. I had to turn on/enable discoverable. This is something I hadn't really worked with. Once I did that, bam, found it and was installing it. Really strange. Perhaps this "discoverable" needs to be better documented or something.I tested it using my tounge, and it activated the alarm, and notified my phone. It's all I wanted.

this device appears reliable and works as advertised. I would like to see a relay driven version that could be hooked up to a pump in addition to its alarm so that it could actually pump out a flooded area and not just sound an alarm

Sent it back. Tried many times to pair without success. Update May 19, 2024 - seller contacted me and sent a new unit. Paired first try and works when water is detected. GREAT customer service. Did not expect the level of concern and support provided for an item of such modest cost.

Bought one of these a few months ago. Worked for a while, then it just stopped working. Acts like it’s connected but doesn’t show any changes when the water level went dry. Also doesn’t show an accurate battery level. Bought another one because they are cheap, and this one didn’t work well from the start. Wrong battery level, doesn’t do anything when the water is low, says it’s connected but doesn’t show any changes unless I pull the battery and reconnect. Absolute junk! No wonder it’s 50% off. Would not buy again

Not very loud, even when set all the way up. Shows up in Google Home as a security device however I can't integrated with anything only, check the battery level. At least I haven't found a way yet.

This water sensor alert system is different than others that I've owned. I'm always trying to avoid water getting into things like my basement or under my sink cabinets, etc. This sensor actually sends a message when water level is below the sensor in addition to if water is present. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to test the sensor for the water level too low setting. I have tested the water present sensor and it works like a charm. It uses the Tuya app, which seems like is becoming the standard now for these internet devices. I don't have to download another app like in the past since I have a Tuya account. Alerts were received as expected via app alerts.Once I test this device for the low water sensor, I'll update this review.
