I grew up in Singapore and Malaysia and croquet was a core memory of my childhood. We had an old wooden set with lots of dings. This set is much more lightweight and the balls are hard plastic. The heads of the mallet aren’t that heavy. Nonetheless this is a great set for beginners and recreational use. I’m excited to have it on offer for my guests at our vacation rental. It comes with a cinchable black carrying bag, which is perfect for storing the set.

After one use, one mallet is broken. Pretty cheaply made set.

The set comes with everything you need, including a bag to carry everything in and the instructions are very good to start play. The mallets are of average quality in that the paint for the colors are matted and not really finished and I have a hard time telling between blue and black so those colors are not well defined on the set I received. The other thing are the length of the mallets, they are really short, I have to crouch when i take my shots. It would have been nice if the mallets were longer for adults that are not over 5'5" but this does not detract from the fun of playing the game. If you get his set you will still enjoy playing the game and have lots of fun with the family.

This is a croquet set that comes with 6 mallets, 6 balls, 2 wooden posts, as well as several metal hoops. The mallets can be disassembled so the head can be taken off and that way it can all fit inside the bag it came with. The mallets are solid wood and the mallet heads themselves are actually rubberized so that whacking the ball doesn't hurt and it's not jarring to do so. The balls have a hefty to them. I was actually quite surprised by how heavy they were. I'm 100% satisfied with this set and especially the fact that it came with a bag to store the set in as well as a means of transporting the set.

This is a very lightweight set that is very easy to assemble and disassemble. This a beginner set and great for starting out and learning to play.

This kit comes with everything you need to have a family day out in the sun. Each mallet is color coded that goes with the same color ball. Comes with pretty strong wires than I expected. Please keep in mind, this is not a professional set. Some people complain about the quality. Listen, your only paying $50 dollars for a 6 player set. This set is aimed for family fun. I have read some reviews and people complain about the size difference then regulated mallet sizes. Or the quality of the wood. If you want quality, you will have to spend more money. This is a better set than you will find at your local Wal Mart, and hopefully not shopping at Target with their attack on children. I am looking for a fun day out in the sun with my family. This does the trick. Although this is not a professional set, it is very durable.

This is an OK set for kids but heads and mallets are small and short for teen or adult play. Standard size mallets start with a 9 inch head and are 28 - 36 inches long. The mallets on this set have a 7 inch head and are 25 inch long. These mallets are also very light and made of wood not composite materials. I would not recommend the set for adults and family play because of size and durability.
