These thermometers exactly meet all my requirements (Stainless Steel, at 2.5" diameter large enough to see easily but not huge, stem not excessively long, small 1/4" NPT, and 200F max). It's really difficult to find a thermometer with a max at or just under 200F that doesn't cost a fortune. These are very affordable.
